Then He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter,“ What! Could you not watch with Me one hour?

比返、見門徒已睡、謂伯鐸祿曰：『竟不能與予儆守片時耶？

Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping.“ Couldn’t you men keep watch with me for one hour?” he asked Peter.

Then He came and found them sleeping, and said to Peter,“ Simon, are you sleeping? Could you not watch one hour?

Peter said to Him,“ Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny You!” And so said all the disciples.

But Peter and those with him were heavy with sleep; and when they were fully awake, they saw His glory and the two men who stood with Him.

Then He said to them,“ My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch with Me.”

When He rose up from prayer, and had come to His disciples, He found them sleeping from sorrow.

And it shall be, as soon as the sun is up in the morning, that you shall rise early and rush upon the city; and when he and the people who are with him come out against you, you may then do to them as you find opportunity.”

So David said to Abner,“ Are you not a man? And who is like you in Israel? Why then have you not guarded your Lord the king? For one of the people came in to destroy your Lord the king.This thing that you have done is not good. As the Lord lives, you deserve to die, because you have not guarded your master, the LORD’s anointed. And now see where the king’s spear is, and the jug of water that was by his head.”

So the king of Israel answered and said,“ Tell him,‘ Let not the one who puts on his armor boast like the one who takes it off.’”

THE SHULAMITE: I sleep, but my heart is awake; It is the voice of my beloved! He knocks, saying,“ Open for me, my sister, my love, My dove, my perfect one; For my head is covered with dew, My locks with the drops of the night.”
