彼得和他的同伴都打盹，既清醒了，就看見耶穌的榮光，並同他站着的那兩個人。

便對他們說：「我心裏甚是憂傷，幾乎要死；你們在這裏等候，和我一同警醒。」

禱告完了，就起來，到門徒那裏，見他們因為憂愁都睡着了，

到早晨太陽一出，你就起來闖城。迦勒和跟隨他的人出來攻擊你的時候，你便向他們見機而做。」

大衛對押尼珥說：「你不是個勇士嗎？以色列中誰能比你呢？民中有人進來要害死王－你的主，你為何沒有保護王－你的主呢？你這樣是不好的！我指着永生的耶和華起誓，你們都是該死的；因為沒有保護你們的主，就是耶和華的受膏者。現在你看看王頭旁的槍和水瓶在哪裏。」

以色列王說：「你告訴他說，才頂盔貫甲的，休要像摘盔卸甲的誇口。」

我身睡臥，我心卻醒。這是我良人的聲音；他敲門說：我的妹子，我的佳偶，我的鴿子，我的完全人，求你給我開門；因我的頭滿了露水，我的頭髮被夜露滴濕。
