他再回来的时候，看见门徒睡着了，因为他们十分疲倦。

耶稣回来，看见门徒睡着了，就对彼得说：“西门，你睡觉吗？你连一个小时也不能警醒吗？

彼得对他说：“就算必须与你一同死，我也决不会不认你。”门徒也都这样说。

彼得和同伴都在打盹。醒过来之后，就看见他的荣光，并与他站在一起的那两个人。

对他们说：“我的心灵痛苦得快要死了；你们留在这里，与我一同警醒吧。”

他祷告完了，就起来到门徒那里，看见他们因为忧愁都睡着了，

到了早晨，太阳出来的时候，你就要起来攻城；你要注意，迦勒和与他在一起的人出来对抗你的时候，你就把握机会对付他们。”

大卫对押尼珥说：“你不是一个男子汉吗？以色列人中有谁能与你相比呢？众民中有一个人来要杀害王你的主，你为什么没有保护王你的主呢？你所作的这事不好。我指着永活的耶和华起誓，你们都是该死的，因为你们没有保护你的主，就是耶和华的受膏者。现在你看看王头旁的矛和水袋在哪里？”

以色列王回答说：“你们去告诉他，佩戴武器的人，不可像解除武器的那样自夸。”

我身虽然睡卧，我心却醒。这是我的良人的声音，他敲着门说：“我的妹妹，我的佳偶，我的鸽子，我的完全人哪！求你给我开门；因为我的头满了露水，头发给夜露滴湿。”
