Then He* said to them,“ My soul is deeply grieved, to the point of death; remain here and keep watch with Me.”

便對他們說：『我的心很是憂困、幾乎要死：你們停留在這裏，同我儆醒着。』

就對他們說：「我的靈魂很憂傷，幾乎要死。你們留在這裡，與我一同警醒。」

曰、我心憂甚、瀕死矣、爾曹留此、偕我儆醒、

耶穌曰、我心甚憂、瀕死矣、爾居此、同我儆醒、

語之曰、我心甚憂、幾至死矣、爾曹居此、同我警醒、

顧謂三徒曰：『予心鬱悒、憂傷欲絕。爾等且留此與予同為儆守。』

Then he said to them,“ My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.”

Then he said to them,“ My soul is very sad. I feel close to death. Stay here. Keep watch with me.”

Then he said to them,“ My soul is very sorrowful, even to death; remain here, and watch with me.”

He told them,“ My soul is crushed with grief to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.”

He said to them,“ I am deeply grieved to the point of death. Remain here and stay awake with me.”

Then He said to them,“ My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch with Me.”

Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: abide ye here, and watch with me.

Then He said to them,“ My soul is swallowed up in sorrow— to the point of death. Remain here and stay awake with Me.”

Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.

Then he said to them,“ My soul is deeply grieved, even to the point of death. Remain here and stay awake with me.”

Then he said to them,“ My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here, and watch with me.”

For Christ also suffered for sins once for all time, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit;

and He Himself brought our sins in His body up on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live for righteousness; by His wounds you were healed.

“ Now My soul has become troubled; and what am I to say?‘ Father, save Me from this hour’? But for this purpose I came to this hour.

And He* came to the disciples and* found them sleeping, and He* said to Peter,“ So, you men could not keep watch with Me for one hour?Keep watching and praying, so that you do not come into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

The end of all things is near; therefore, be of sound judgment and sober spirit for the purpose of prayer.

He was despised and abandoned by men, A man of great pain and familiar with sickness; And like one from whom people hide their faces, He was despised, and we had no regard for Him.

Be on the alert then, because you do not know the day nor the hour.

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us— for it is written:“ Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”—

He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?

But the Lord desired To crush Him, causing Him grief; If He renders Himself as a guilt offering, He will see His offspring, He will prolong His days, And the good pleasure of the Lord will prosper in His hand.

He made Him who knew no sin to be sin in our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

“ Oh if only my grief were actually weighed And laid in the balances together with my disaster!For then it would be heavier than the sand of the seas; For that reason my words have been rash.For the arrows of the Almighty are within me, My spirit drinks their poison; The terrors of God line up against me.

Lord, the God of my salvation, I have cried out by day and in the night before You.Let my prayer come before You; Incline Your ear to my cry!For my soul has had enough troubles, And my life has approached Sheol.I am counted among those who go down to the pit; I have become like a man without strength,Abandoned among the dead, Like the slain who lie in the grave, Whom You no longer remember, And they are cut off from Your hand.You have put me in the lowest pit, In dark places, in the depths.Your wrath has rested upon me, And You have afflicted me with all Your waves. Selah

Lord, why do You reject my soul? Why do You hide Your face from me?I was miserable and about to die from my youth on; I suffer Your terrors; I grow weary.Your burning anger has passed over me; Your terrors have destroyed me.

The snares of death encompassed me And the terrors of Sheol came upon me; I found distress and sorrow.
