顧謂三徒曰：『予心鬱悒、憂傷欲絕。爾等且留此與予同為儆守。』

Then he said to them,“ My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.”

Then he said to them,“ My soul is very sad. I feel close to death. Stay here. Keep watch with me.”

Then he said to them,“ My soul is very sorrowful, even to death; remain here, and watch with me.”

He told them,“ My soul is crushed with grief to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.”

He said to them,“ I am deeply grieved to the point of death. Remain here and stay awake with me.”

Then He* said to them,“ My soul is deeply grieved, to the point of death; remain here and keep watch with Me.”

Then He said to them,“ My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch with Me.”

Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: abide ye here, and watch with me.

Then He said to them,“ My soul is swallowed up in sorrow— to the point of death. Remain here and stay awake with Me.”

因為基督也曾一次為罪受苦，以無罪之身代替不義之人，為要領你們到上帝面前。祂的肉體雖被處死，但祂藉著聖靈復活了。

祂被釘在十字架上，親身擔當了我們的罪，使我們向著罪死了，可以過公義的生活。因祂所受的鞭傷，你們得到了醫治。

「我現在心裡憂傷，說什麼才好呢？求父救我離開這個時刻嗎？然而，我原是為這個時刻來的。

耶穌回到三個門徒那裡，見他們都睡著了，就對彼得說：「難道你們不能跟我一同警醒一時嗎？你們要警醒禱告，免得陷入誘惑。你們的心靈雖然願意，肉體卻很軟弱。」

萬物的盡頭快到了。因此，你們要謹慎自律，警醒禱告。

祂被藐視，遭人厭棄，飽受痛苦，歷盡憂患。人們對祂不屑一顧，我們也不尊重祂。

「所以，你們要警醒，因為你們不知道我回來的日子和時辰。

但基督替我們受了咒詛，從而救贖我們脫離了律法的咒詛，因為聖經上說：「凡掛在木頭上的人都是受咒詛的。」

上帝既然連自己的兒子也不顧惜，讓祂為我們犧牲，豈不也把萬物和祂一同白白地賜給我們嗎？

然而，祂被壓傷、受痛苦是耶和華的旨意；祂的性命作了贖罪祭，祂必看見自己的後裔，祂必長久活著。耶和華的旨意必在祂手中實現。

上帝使無罪的基督擔當我們的罪，使我們可以藉著基督成為被上帝接納的義人。

「要是能秤量我的苦難，把我的災殃放在秤上，那將比海沙還重；所以我言語魯莽。因為全能者的箭射中我，箭毒侵蝕我的靈，祂使恐懼列隊襲來。

耶和華，拯救我的上帝啊，我晝夜不停地呼求你。求你垂聽我的禱告，傾聽我的呼求。我飽經患難，生命在死亡的邊緣。我被列在下墳墓的人中，我的精力耗盡。我被扔在死人中，如同被殺的人躺在墳墓裡，被你遺忘，不再蒙你眷顧。你已經把我扔在漆黑的深淵。你的烈怒重重地壓著我，如洶湧波濤把我淹沒。（細拉）

耶和華啊，你為何棄絕我？為何掩面不理我？我從小受苦，幾乎喪命。你使我驚恐不已，陷入絕望。你的烈怒吞噬了我，你可怕的攻擊毀滅了我。

死亡的繩索纏繞我，陰間的恐怖籠罩我，我被困苦和憂愁淹沒。
