於是祭司諸長、及法利賽人、召集公會、議曰、此人多行異跡、我儕何以處之、若縱其如此、眾必信之、則羅瑪人必至奪我土地、擄我人民、其中有一人、名該亞法、是歲為大祭司、語眾曰、爾曹無所知也、獨不思一人為民而死、致通國不滅、即為我儕之益、彼言此、非由己意、乃因是歲為大祭司、故預言耶穌將為民而死、且不第為斯民、又為使天主散處之子、咸集於一、自是日後、眾相議欲殺耶穌、

曾以爾僕大衛之口言云、異邦人何為奮怒、奮怒或作諠譁萬民何為徒謀、世之君王興起、侯伯聚集、違逆主及主之基督、希律本丟彼拉多、異邦人、以色列民、果集以攻爾所膏之聖子耶穌、以成爾權爾旨預定之事、

先曳至安那前、乃是歲大祭司該亞法之妻父、昔向猶太人議云、一人為眾民而死、乃為我益者、即此該亞法也、西門彼得與別一門徒、從耶穌、此門徒為大祭司所識、故同耶穌入大祭司之院、

異邦因何紛然鬧亂、列國因何徒然謀算、世間君王興起、侯伯會議、欲抗逆主、抗逆主所立之受膏者、

祭司諸長及法利賽人已出令、凡知耶穌所在、即當明報以執之、

眾曳耶穌、自該亞法處至公堂、時甫平旦、眾不入公堂、免受不潔、蓋欲食逾越節羔也、

執耶穌者、曳之至大祭司該亞法之所、經士及諸長老亦集於彼、彼得遠隨耶穌、至大祭司之院、入與吏役同坐、欲觀此事究竟、

明日、有司、長老、經士、大祭司安那、與該亞法、約翰、亞力山德、及大祭司之族、咸集於耶路撒冷、

咸集潛伏、窺伺我之蹤跡、欲害我命、

暗中欲射正直人、突然射之、無所忌憚、彼眾相勉行惡、商議暗設網羅、自誇無人能見、籌思奸謀、自謂我輩已有定意、妙計亦已尋得、各人所藏之意念心思、深險莫測、

祭司諸長、及法利賽人聞此喻、乃識耶穌指己而言、欲執之、惟懼眾、蓋眾以耶穌為先知也、

其時我若柔順之羔羊、被牽至死地、我尚不知其謀害我、曰、盍滅之、如伐樹而毀其果、絕之於有生者之地、使其名不復記念、

惡人在位抗逆律法、肆行殘害、豈能與主聯合、惡人結黨、謀害善人、將無辜者定罪殺戮、

彼眾曰、我儕不如設謀、坑害耶利米、攻之以詞、勿聽其所言、蓋祭司非失律法、智者非缺謀略、先知非無預言、耶利米曰、求主眷顧我、我敵之所言、求主聽之、人豈可以惡報善乎、求主念我立於主前、為彼祈禱、望主向彼息怒、彼反掘坎阱以陷我命、

如爾不聽我、不守安息日為聖日、仍於安息日負荷入耶路撒冷邑門、則我必使火焚耶路撒冷之諸門、並燬其宮殿、不得撲滅、原文作我必燃火在其諸門焚燬耶路撒冷之宮殿不得撲滅
