We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.

For the Lamb on the throne will be their Shepherd. He will lead them to springs of life giving water. And God will wipe every tear from their eyes.”

I tell you the truth, I will not drink wine again until the day I drink it new in the Kingdom of God.”

He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in the Lord.

not to the general public, but to us whom God had chosen in advance to be his witnesses. We were those who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.

Jesus said,“ I have been very eager to eat this Passover meal with you before my suffering begins.For I tell you now that I won’t eat this meal again until its meaning is fulfilled in the Kingdom of God.”Then he took a cup of wine and gave thanks to God for it. Then he said,“ Take this and share it among yourselves.For I will not drink wine again until the Kingdom of God has come.”

“ Now I am coming to you. I told them many things while I was with them in this world so they would be filled with my joy.

Then the righteous will shine like the sun in their Father’s Kingdom. Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand!

This great choir sang a wonderful new song in front of the throne of God and before the four living beings and the twenty four elders. No one could learn this song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth.

And just as my Father has granted me a Kingdom, I now grant you the rightto eat and drink at my table in my Kingdom. And you will sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow!

So you have sorrow now, but I will see you again; then you will rejoice, and no one can rob you of that joy.

For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”

When he sees all that is accomplished by his anguish, he will be satisfied. And because of his experience, my righteous servant will make it possible for many to be counted righteous, for he will bear all their sins.

How wonderful and beautiful they will be! The young men will thrive on abundant grain, and the young women will flourish on new wine.

And I tell you the truth, some standing here right now will not die before they see the Son of Man coming in his Kingdom.”

You have given me greater joy than those who have abundant harvests of grain and new wine.

And when he took the scroll, the four living beings and the twenty four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp, and they held gold bowls filled with incense, which are the prayers of God’s people.And they sang a new song with these words:“ You are worthy to take the scroll and break its seals and open it. “ Then the King will say to those on his right,‘ Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world.

In Jerusalem, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will spread a wonderful feast for all the people of the world. It will be a delicious banquet with clear, well aged wine and choice meat.

Gone are the joys of wine and song; alcoholic drink turns bitter in the mouth.The city writhes in chaos; every home is locked to keep out intruders.Mobs gather in the streets, crying out for wine. Joy has turned to gloom. Gladness has been banished from the land.
