“ As you know, the Passover is two days away— and the Son of Man will be handed over to be crucified.”

Now the Passover and Festival of Unleavened Bread were two days away; and the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how to arrest Him covertly and kill Him;for they were saying,“ Not during the festival, otherwise there will be a riot of the people.”

Now the Feast of Unleavened Bread, which is called the Passover, was approaching.And the chief priests and the scribes were trying to find a way to put Him to death, since they were afraid of the people.

“ Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn Him to death,and they will hand Him over to the Gentiles to mock and flog and crucify, and on the third day He will be raised up.”

Now Judas, who was betraying Him, also knew the place, because Jesus had often met there with His disciples.

Now before the Feast of the Passover, Jesus, knowing that His hour had come that He would depart from this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.And during supper, the devil having already put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon, to betray Him,

And while they were gathering together in Galilee, Jesus said to them,“ The Son of Man is going to be handed over to men;

The Son of Man is going away just as it is written about Him; but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had not been born.”And Judas, who was betraying Him, said,“ Surely it is not I, Rabbi?” Jesus* said to him,“ You have said it yourself.”

Now the Passover of the Jews was near, and many went up to Jerusalem from the country prior to the Passover, in order to purify themselves.

He is not here, but He has risen. Remember how He spoke to you while He was still in Galilee,saying that the Son of Man must be handed over to sinful men, and be crucified, and on the third day rise from the dead.”

“ You shall not offer the blood of My sacrifice with leavened bread, nor is the sacrifice of the Feast of the Passover to be left over until morning.

The Passover of the Jews was near, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

Now you shall eat it in this way: with your garment belted around your waist, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and you shall eat it in a hurry— it is the Lord’s Passover.For I will go through the land of Egypt on that night, and fatally strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the human firstborn to animals; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgments— I am the Lord.The blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you live; and when I see the blood I will pass over you, and no plague will come upon you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.‘ Now this day shall be a memorial to you, and you shall celebrate it as a feast to the Lord; throughout your generations you are to celebrate it as a permanent ordinance.

And He said to them,“ I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer;

saying,“ I have sinned by betraying innocent blood.” But they said,“ What is that to us? You shall see to it yourself!”

Therefore, six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany where Lazarus was, whom Jesus had raised from the dead.
