过两天是逾越节，又是除酵节，祭司长和文士想法子怎么用诡计捉拿耶稣，杀他。只是说：“当节的日子不可，恐怕百姓生乱。”

除酵节，又名逾越节，近了。祭司长和文士想法子怎么才能杀害耶稣，是因他们惧怕百姓。

“看哪，我们上耶路撒冷去，人子要被交给祭司长和文士。他们要定他死罪，又交给外邦人，将他戏弄，鞭打，钉在十字架上；第三日他要复活。”

卖耶稣的犹大也知道那地方，因为耶稣和门徒屡次上那里去聚集。

逾越节以前，耶稣知道自己离世归父的时候到了。他既然爱世间属自己的人，就爱他们到底。吃晚饭的时候，魔鬼已将卖耶稣的意思放在西门的儿子加略人犹大心里。

他们还住在加利利的时候，耶稣对门徒说：“人子将要被交在人手里。

人子必要去世，正如经上指着他所写的；但卖人子的人有祸了！那人不生在世上倒好。”卖耶稣的犹大问他说：“拉比，是我吗？”耶稣说：“你说的是。”

犹太人的逾越节近了，有许多人从乡下上耶路撒冷去，要在节前洁净自己。

他不在这里，已经复活了。当记念他还在加利利的时候怎样告诉你们，说：‘人子必须被交在罪人手里，钉在十字架上，第三日复活。’”

犹太人的逾越节近了，耶稣就上耶路撒冷去。

耶稣对他们说：“我很愿意在受害以先和你们吃这逾越节的筵席。

“我卖了无辜之人的血是有罪了。”他们说：“那与我们有什么相干？你自己承当吧！”

逾越节前六日，耶稣来到伯大尼，就是他叫拉撒路从死里复活之处。
