除酵节的第一天，就是宰逾越节羔羊的那一天，门徒对耶稣说：“你要我们到哪里去预备你吃逾越节的宴席呢？”耶稣就打发两个门徒，对他们说：“你们进城去，会有人拿着一罐水迎面而来，你们就跟着他。无论他进哪一家，你们就对那家的主人说：‘老师问：我的客房在哪里？我和我的门徒要在那里吃逾越节的宴席。’他会带你们看一间摆设齐全、准备妥当的楼上大厅，你们就在那里为我们预备。”门徒出去，进了城，所看到的正如耶稣所说的。他们就预备了逾越节的宴席。

要把它留到本月十四日；那日黄昏的时候，以色列全会众要把羔羊宰了。

门徒遵照耶稣所吩咐的去预备了逾越节的宴席。

他们到了迦百农，收圣殿税的人来见彼得，说：“你们的老师不纳圣殿税吗？”彼得说：“纳。”他进了屋子，耶稣先对他说：“西门，你的意见如何？世上的君王向谁征收关税或丁税？是向自己的儿子呢？还是向外人呢？”

“正月十四日是向耶和华守的逾越节。这月十五日是节期，要吃无酵饼七日。

“你要守亚笔月，向耶和华—你的上帝守逾越节，因为在亚笔月，耶和华—你的上帝在夜间领你出埃及。你当在那里，耶和华选择作为他名居所的地方，从羊群牛群中，将逾越节的祭牲献给耶和华—你的上帝。这祭牲不可和有酵的东西一起吃。因为你曾匆忙离开埃及地，你要吃无酵饼，就是困苦饼七日，好让你一生的年日记得你从埃及地出来的那一日。在你全境内，七日不可见到酵母。第一日晚上所献的肉，一点也不可留到早晨。

“正月十四日黄昏的时候，是向耶和华守的逾越节。这月的十五日是向耶和华守的除酵节；你们要吃无酵饼七日。

耶稣回答他：“暂且这样做吧，因为我们理当这样履行全部的义。”于是约翰就依了他。

你要吃无酵饼七日，在第七日要向耶和华守节。这七日之内，要吃无酵饼；在你的全境内不可见有酵之物，也不可见酵母。当那日，你要告诉你的儿子说：‘这样做是因为耶和华在我出埃及的时候为我所做的事。’
