除酵节的第一日到了，在这一天必须宰杀逾越节的羔羊。耶稣差派彼得和约翰，说：“你们去为我们预备逾越节的晚餐，好让我们能吃上。”他们问耶稣：“你要我们在哪里预备呢？”耶稣对他们说：“看哪！你们进了城，会有一个人提着一罐水迎面而来，你们就跟着他，到他所进的那一家去，对那家的主人说：‘老师问你：我与我的门徒们一起吃逾越节晚餐的客房在哪里呢？’他会给你们看楼上一间布置好的大房间，你们就在那里预备吧。”他们去了，看到的正如耶稣对他们所说的。他们就预备了逾越节的晚餐。

除酵节的第一日，就是人们宰杀逾越节羔羊的那一天，耶稣的门徒们问他：“你要我们到哪里去预备，好让你吃逾越节的晚餐呢？”于是耶稣差派了他的两个门徒，对他们说：“你们进城去，会有一个人提着一罐水迎面而来，你们就跟着他。他进哪一家，你们就对那家的主人说：‘老师问：我的客房，就是我与我的门徒们一起吃逾越节晚餐的客房在哪里呢？’他会给你们看楼上一间预备好的大房间。你们就在那里为我们预备吧。”两个门徒出去，进了城，所看到的正如耶稣对他们所说的。他们就预备了逾越节的晚餐。

门徒们就依照耶稣所吩咐的去做，预备了逾越节的晚餐。

他们来到迦百农，那些收圣殿税的人来到彼得那里，说：“你们的老师不纳圣殿税吗？”彼得说：“当然纳。”彼得进了屋子，耶稣先问他：“西门，这件事你怎么看？地上的众君王向谁征收关税和丁税呢？向自己的儿女，还是向外人呢？”

耶稣回答他，说：“现在你就答应吧，因为我们如此成全一切的义，是合宜的。”于是约翰答应了他。
