But Jesus, aware of this, replied,“ Why criticize this woman for doing such a good thing to me?

Aware of this, Jesus said to them,“ Why are you bothering this woman? She has done a noble thing for me.

But when Jesus was aware of it, He said to them,“ Why do you trouble the woman? For she has done a good work for Me.

But Jesus perceiving it said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me.

But Jesus, aware of this, said to them,“ Why are you bothering this woman? She has done a noble thing for Me.

When Jesus understood[ it], he said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me.

However, knowing this, Jesus said to them,“ Why do you trouble the woman? She has done a good work for me.

This saying is trustworthy, and I want you to insist on such truths, so that those who have placed their faith in God may be intent on engaging in good works. These things are good and beneficial for all people.

equip you with every good thing to do his will, working in us what is pleasing before him through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever. Amen.

Then I related to them how the good hand of my God was on me and what the king had said to me. Then they replied,“ Let’s begin rebuilding right away!” So they readied themselves for this good project.

Then, turning toward the woman, he said to Simon,“ Do you see this woman? I entered your house. You gave me no water for my feet, but she has wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair.You gave me no kiss of greeting, but from the time I entered she has not stopped kissing my feet.You did not anoint my head with oil, but she has anointed my feet with perfumed oil.Therefore I tell you, her sins, which were many, are forgiven, thus she loved much; but the one who is forgiven little loves little.”Then Jesus said to her,“ Your sins are forgiven.”But those who were at the table with him began to say among themselves,“ Who is this, who even forgives sins?”He said to the woman,“ Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”

encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good thing you do or say.

And God is able to make all grace overflow to you so that because you have enough of everything in every way at all times, you will overflow in every good work.

and has a reputation for good works: as one who has raised children, practiced hospitality, washed the feet of the saints, helped those in distress– as one who has exhibited all kinds of good works.

He gave himself for us to set us free from every kind of lawlessness and to purify for himself a people who are truly his, who are eager to do good.

For we are his workmanship, having been created in Christ Jesus for good works that God prepared beforehand so we may do them.

But Jesus said,“ Leave her alone. Why are you bothering her? She has done a good service for me.

So if someone cleanses himself of such behavior, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart, useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.

not that there really is another gospel, but there are some who are disturbing you and wanting to distort the gospel of Christ.

They profess to know God but with their deeds they deny him, since they are detestable, disobedient, and unfit for any good deed.

Here is another way that our people can learn to engage in good works to meet pressing needs and so not be unfruitful.

so that you may live worthily of the Lord and please him in all respects– bearing fruit in every good deed, growing in the knowledge of God,

I wish those agitators would go so far as to castrate themselves!

This saying is trustworthy:“ If someone aspires to the office of overseer, he desires a good work.”

Remind them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work.

Will you speak wickedly on God’s behalf? Will you speak deceitfully for him?

From now on let no one cause me trouble, for I bear the marks of Jesus on my body.

and maintain good conduct among the non- Christians, so that though they now malign you as wrongdoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God when he appears.
