那時他們也必回答說：「主啊，我們甚麼時候見你餓了，或渴了，或做旅客，或赤着身子，或病了，或在監裏，沒有服事你呢？」

「那時他們也要回答說：『主啊，我們什麼時候見你餓了，或渴了，或在異鄉，或衣不蔽體，或患了病，或在監獄裡，而沒有服事你呢？』

彼亦將應之曰、主、我何時見爾飢、渴、旅、裸、病、及在獄、而不事爾乎、

Then they themselves also will answer,‘ Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or as a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not take care of You?’

“ Then they also will answer Him, saying,‘ Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’

Then shall they also answer, saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungry, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?

“ Then they too will answer,‘ Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or without clothes, or sick, or in prison, and not help You?’

Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?

Then they too will answer,‘ Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not give you whatever you needed?’

“ Then they will also answer, saying,‘ Lord, when did we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and didn’t help you?’

掃羅對撒母耳說：「我聽從了耶和華的話，行了耶和華派我行的路，擒了亞瑪力王亞甲來，滅盡了亞瑪力人。百姓卻從掠物中取了牛羊，是當滅之物中最好的，要在吉甲獻給耶和華－你的上帝。」

你們用言語使耶和華厭煩，卻說：「我們在何事上使他厭煩呢？」因為你們說：「凡行惡的，耶和華看為善，並且喜愛他們；」又說：「公平的上帝在哪裏呢？」

耶和華說：「你們用話頂撞我。」你們卻說：「我們說了甚麼話頂撞你呢？」

萬軍之耶和華對你們說：「兒子孝敬父親，僕人敬畏主人；我既為父親，孝敬我的在哪裏呢？我既為主人，敬畏我的在哪裏呢？你們這些藐視我名的祭司啊！」你們卻說：「我們在何事上藐視你的名呢？」

撒母耳到了掃羅那裏，掃羅對他說：「願耶和華賜福給你，耶和華的命令我已遵守了。」撒母耳說：「我耳中聽見有羊叫、牛鳴的聲音，又是甚麼呢？」掃羅說：「這是百姓從亞瑪力人那裏帶來的，因為他們愛惜上好的牛羊，要獻給耶和華－你的上帝。其餘的，我們都滅盡了。」

那人要證明自己有理，就對耶穌說：「誰是我的鄰舍呢？」

你怎能說：『我沒有玷污，沒有隨從巴力』？看看你在谷中所做的，思想你自己的所作所為；你是快行的獨峯駝，狂奔亂闖。

那領一千的也進前來，說：『主啊，我知道你，你是個嚴厲的人：沒有種的地方也要收割，沒有播的地方也要收穫，我就害怕，去把你的一千銀子埋藏在地裏。請看，你的銀子在這裏。』他的主人回答他說：『你這又惡又懶的僕人，你既知道我沒有種的地方也要收割，沒有播的地方也要收穫，就該把我的銀子放給兌換銀錢的人，到我來的時候可以連本帶利收回。

你還說：『我無辜；耶和華的怒氣必定轉離我了。』看哪，我必審問你；因你自己說：『我沒有犯罪。』

在那日必有許多人對我說：『主啊，主啊，我們不是奉你的名傳道，奉你的名趕鬼，奉你的名行許多異能嗎？』
