Then Saul said to Samuel,“ But I have obeyed the LORD! I went on the campaign the LORD sent me on. You have wearied the LORD with your words. But you say,“ How have we wearied him?” Because you say,“ Everyone who does evil is good in the Lord’s opinion, and he delights in them,” or“ Where is the God of justice?”

“ You have criticized me sharply,” says the LORD,“ but you ask,‘ How have we criticized you?’

“ A son naturally honors his father and a slave respects his master. If I am your father, where is my honor? If I am your master, where is my respect? The LORD who rules over all asks you this, you priests who make light of my name! But you reply,‘ How have we made light of your name?’

When Samuel came to him, Saul said to him,“ May the LORD bless you! Think about the things you have done there! You are like a flighty, young female camel that rushes here and there, crisscrossing its path.

Then the one who had received the one talent came and said,‘ Sir, I knew that you were a hard man, harvesting where you did not sow, and gathering where you did not scatter seed,so I was afraid, and I went and hid your talent in the ground. See, you have what is yours.’But his master answered,‘ Evil and lazy slave! So you knew that I harvest where I didn’t sow and gather where I didn’t scatter?Then you should have deposited my money with the bankers, and on my return I would have received my money back with interest!

you say,‘ I have not done anything wrong, so the LORD cannot really be angry with me any more.’ But, watch out! I will bring down judgment on you because you say,‘ I have not committed any sin.’

On that day, many will say to me,‘ Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in your name, and in your name cast out demons and do many powerful deeds?’
