他們就回答：‘主啊，我們甚麼時候見你餓了、渴了、作旅客、赤身露體、病了，或在監裡，卻沒有服事你呢？’

那時他們也必回答說：「主啊，我們甚麼時候見你餓了，或渴了，或做旅客，或赤着身子，或病了，或在監裏，沒有服事你呢？」

彼亦將應之曰、主、我何時見爾飢、渴、旅、裸、病、及在獄、而不事爾乎、

彼得應之曰、主、我何時見爾饑、渴、旅、裸、病及在獄、而不服事爾乎、

“ Then they too will answer,‘ Lord, when did we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or without clothes, or sick, or in prison, and not help you?’

Then they themselves also will answer,‘ Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or as a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not take care of You?’

“ Then they also will answer Him, saying,‘ Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’

Then shall they also answer, saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungry, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?

“ Then they too will answer,‘ Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or without clothes, or sick, or in prison, and not help You?’

Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?

Then they too will answer,‘ Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not give you whatever you needed?’

“ Then they will also answer, saying,‘ Lord, when did we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and didn’t help you?’

掃羅對撒母耳說：「我就是聽從了耶和華的話，完成了耶和華所派給我的使命。我把亞瑪力王亞甲抓來了，也把亞瑪力人滅絕淨盡了。軍兵還從戰利品中取了一些牛羊，是當滅之物中那些上好的，要在吉甲獻祭給耶和華你的神。」

你們用你們的話語使耶和華厭倦，還問：「我們是怎麼使他厭倦的呢？」你們使我厭倦是因你們說：「任何作惡的人都在耶和華眼中看為善；耶和華喜悅他們！」又因你們問：「公正的神在哪裡呢？」

耶和華說：「你們用話語頂撞我，還問：『我們是怎麼用話語頂撞你的呢？』

藐視我名的祭司們哪，萬軍之耶和華對你們說：「兒子尊敬父親，僕人敬畏他的主人。我既是父親，我當受的尊敬在哪裡呢？我既是主人，我當受的敬畏在哪裡呢？你們竟然問：『我們是怎麼藐視你名的呢？』

撒母耳到了掃羅那裡，掃羅對他說：「願你蒙耶和華祝福！我已經執行了耶和華的命令。」撒母耳說：「那麼我耳中這羊叫的聲音、我所聽見的牛叫聲，是怎麼回事呢？」掃羅說：「這些是軍兵從亞瑪力人那裡帶回來的，因為他們顧惜上好的牛羊，為要獻祭給耶和華你的神。至於其餘的，我們已經滅絕淨盡了。」

那個人卻要顯示自己為義，就對耶穌說：「那麼，誰是我的鄰人呢？」

「接著，那領了一千兩銀子的也上前來，說：『主啊，我知道你是個嚴厲的人，不是你播種的地方，你收穫；不是你投放的地方，你收集。我懼怕，就去把你的銀子藏在地裡。請看，你的銀子在這裡。』「主人回答他，說：『你這又惡又懶的奴僕！你既然知道：不是我播種的地方，我收穫；不是我投放的地方，我收集，你就應該把我的銀子存到錢莊裡，這樣我回來的時候，可以連本帶利得回來。

在那一天，有許多人會對我說：『主啊，主啊，我們不是奉你的名做先知傳道，奉你的名驅趕鬼魔，奉你的名行了很多神蹟嗎？』
