For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink,

With flaming fire he will mete out punishment on those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.

Let anyone who has no love for the Lord be accursed. Our Lord, come!

so that all people will honor the Son just as they honor the Father. The one who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.

“ Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.And whoever does not take up his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.

For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,

They drink wine from sacrificial bowls, and pour the very best oils on themselves. Yet they are not concerned over the ruin of Joseph.

We know that we have crossed over from death to life because we love our fellow Christians. The one who does not love remains in death.Everyone who hates his fellow Christian is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him.We have come to know love by this: that Jesus laid down his life for us; thus we ought to lay down our lives for our fellow Christians.But whoever has the world’s possessions and sees his fellow Christian in need and shuts off his compassion against him, how can the love of God reside in such a person?

If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacks daily food,and one of you says to them,“ Go in peace, keep warm and eat well,” but you do not give them what the body needs, what good is it?So also faith, if it does not have works, is dead being by itself.But someone will say,“ You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith without works and I will show you faith by my works.You believe that God is one; well and good. Even the demons believe that– and tremble with fear.But would you like evidence, you empty fellow, that faith without works is useless?Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar?You see that his faith was working together with his works and his faith was perfected by works.And the scripture was fulfilled that says,“ Now Abraham believed God and it was counted to him for righteousness,” and he was called God’s friend.You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.

If anyone says“ I love God” and yet hates his fellow Christian, he is a liar, because the one who does not love his fellow Christian whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen.
