and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels.He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.

Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about them:“ See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones

If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.”

For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done.

Jesus said to them,“ Truly I tell you, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

“ Look, he is coming with the clouds,” and“ every eye will see him, even those who pierced him”; and all peoples on earth“ will mourn because of him.” So shall it be! Amen.

Whoever is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.

He then added,“ Very truly I tell you, you will see‘ heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending on’ the Son of Man.”

“ In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence.He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshiped him. You will flee by my mountain valley, for it will extend to Azel. You will flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the Lord my God will come, and all the holy ones with him.

For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

“ You have said so,” Jesus replied.“ But I say to all of you: From now on you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.”

Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them.

To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne.

The Lord reigns forever; he has established his throne for judgment.

“ I am,” said Jesus.“ And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.”

“ Men of Galilee,” they said,“ why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.”

But from now on, the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the mighty God.”

And he has given him authority to judge because he is the Son of Man.“ Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voiceand come out— those who have done what is good will rise to live, and those who have done what is evil will rise to be condemned.

But about the Son he says,“ Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.

“ At midnight the cry rang out:‘ Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’
