“接着，那领了一千两银子的也上前来，说：‘主啊，我知道你是个严厉的人，不是你播种的地方，你收获；不是你投放的地方，你收集。

「接著，那領了一千兩銀子的也上前來，說：『主啊，我知道你是個嚴厲的人，不是你播種的地方，你收穫；不是你投放的地方，你收集。

“ Now the one who had received the one talent also came up and said,‘ Master, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you did not scatter seed.

“ Then he who had received the one talent came and said,‘ Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed.

And he also that had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art a hard man, reaping where thou didst not sow, and gathering where thou didst not scatter;

“ Then the man who had received one talent also approached and said,‘ Master, I know you. You’re a difficult man, reaping where you haven’t sown and gathering where you haven’t scattered seed.

Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:

这世代的人啊，要留心听耶和华的话。对以色列人来说，难道我是旷野，是幽暗之地吗？为什么我的子民竟说，‘我们可以四处游荡，不再追随你’？

“他对父亲说，‘你看，我伺候你这么多年，从来没有违背过你的命令，可是你没有给过我一只羊羔，让我和朋友一同欢宴。

并不是所有称呼我‘主啊，主啊’的人都能进天国，只有遵行我天父旨意的人才能进去。

你这个人啊！你是谁啊？竟敢顶撞上帝！受造之物怎能对造物主说：“你为什么把我造成这样？”

“我们不会听从你奉耶和华的名对我们说的话。但我们必照所许的愿向天后烧香奠酒，正如我们和我们的祖先、君王和官长在犹大各城和耶路撒冷街上所做的一样。那时，我们食物充足，生活幸福，无灾无祸。但自从我们停止向天后烧香奠酒后，我们便一无所有，不断有人死于战争和饥荒。”

因为顾念罪恶本性的人与上帝为敌，不服从上帝的律法，也无力服从。

可是，你们却亵渎我的名，竟然说我的桌子是污秽的，上面的祭物是可藐视的。你们不屑地说，‘哼！这些事真麻烦！’这是万军之耶和华说的。你们把抢来的、瘸腿的、有病的献给我，我岂能接纳呢？这是耶和华说的。

他们说，‘我们禁食，你为什么不看呢？我们刻苦己身，你为什么不理睬呢？’我说，‘看啊，禁食之日你们仍然随心所欲，压榨你们的工人。

‘那些最晚来的人只工作了一小时，而我们在烈日之下辛苦了一整天，怎么会领同样的工钱呢？’

“你们说，主这样做不公平。以色列人啊，你们听着，是我的做法不公平呢？还是你们的做法不公平呢？倘若义人离义行恶，他必因犯罪而死。倘若恶人离恶行义，他必救回自己的性命。因为他醒悟过来，痛改前非，必能活着，不致死亡。以色列人却说，‘主这样做不公平！’以色列人啊，是我的做法不公平呢？还是你们的做法不公平呢？

他们对上帝说，‘离开我们，我们不想学习你的道。全能者是谁，竟要我们事奉祂？向祂祷告有何益处？’

“你们为什么‘主啊，主啊’地称呼我，却不遵行我的话呢？

你们说，‘事奉上帝是虚空的。遵从上帝的吩咐，在万军之耶和华面前痛悔有什么益处？如今我们称狂傲的人有福，因为作恶的人凡事顺利，他们虽然试探上帝，却仍能逃过灾祸。’”
