People will stagger from sea to sea and wander from border to border searching for the word of the Lord, but they will not find it.Beautiful girls and strong young men will grow faint in that day, thirsting for the Lord’s word.

And now the prize awaits me— the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing.

Look! He comes with the clouds of heaven. And everyone will see him— even those who pierced him. And all the nations of the world will mourn for him. Yes! Amen!

So prepare your minds for action and exercise self control. Put all your hope in the gracious salvation that will come to you when Jesus Christ is revealed to the world.

You also must be ready all the time, for the Son of Man will come when least expected.
