到处都会有大地震、饥荒和瘟疫；会有恐怖的景象和天上来的大征兆。

我又观看，看哪，有一匹灰绿色的马。那骑马的，名叫“死亡”，阴间伴随着他。他们被赐予了权柄可以统管地上的四分之一，用刀剑、饥荒、瘟疫和地上的野兽去杀害人。

其中有一个名叫阿伽布斯的站起来，藉着圣灵指明普天下将有大饥荒。这事在凯撒克劳迪时期果然发生了。

“我要激起埃及人敌对埃及人，各人攻击自己的兄弟，各人攻击自己的邻舍，城攻击城，国攻击国。

“再一次”这句话表明了那些能够被震动的，就如被造之物，都要被挪去，好使那些不能被震动的可以存留。

我又观看，羔羊打开第六个封印的时候，发生了大地震。太阳变黑像粗毛布，整个月亮变得像血。

“在太阳、月亮和星辰中将有征兆出现；在地上，因海洋的咆哮和翻腾，列国的人就惊慌失措，陷入困惑混乱之中；人们预料到将要临到世界的事，就吓得魂不附体；因为诸天的各势力都将被震动。

在天上我要显奇事；在地上我要行神迹——有血、有火、有烟雾。

大地全然破坏，彻底崩裂，剧烈摇动。大地摇摇晃晃，好像醉酒的人，又像茅屋摇来摇去。大地的过犯重压在自己上面，它就塌陷，不能再起来。到那日，耶和华必在高天惩罚天上的众军，在地上惩罚地上的列王。他们必被聚在一起，像地牢中被囚的人；他们被关进监狱，多日以后必受惩罚。那时，月亮抱愧，太阳蒙羞，因为万军之耶和华必在锡安山、在耶路撒冷作王，并在他的长老们面前显出荣耀。

因着万军之耶和华的盛怒，地被焚毁，百姓必像烧火的燃料，没有人怜恤自己的兄弟。他们在右边割肉，还是饥饿；在左边吞噬，仍不饱足；各人竟吞噬自己膀臂的肉。玛拿西吞噬以法莲，以法莲吞噬玛拿西，他们又一同敌对犹大。即使如此，耶和华的怒气还不转消，他的手仍然伸出。
