“ Who then is a faithful and sensible slave, whom his master has put in charge of his household, to give them food at the proper time?

「誰是忠心有見識的僕人，為主人所派，管理家裏的人，按時分糧給他們呢？

「那麼，誰是那忠心又精明的僕人，主人派他管理自己的家僕、按時分糧給他們的呢？

「那麼，誰是那忠心又精明的僕人，主人派他管理自己的家僕、按時分糧給他們的呢？

「誰是那個受主人委託管理家中大小僕役、按時分糧食給他們、又忠心又精明的奴僕呢？

“誰是忠心和精明的僕人，被主人指派管理全家，按時分派糧食的呢？

『那麼誰是可靠而精明的奴僕，主人所委派來管理他的家人，按時把食糧分給他們的呢？

「究竟誰是那又忠心又聰明的奴僕——受主人委任統管他家裡的人、按時給他們分糧的人呢？

孰為忠智之僕、主任之督其家人、依時予之糧乎、

孰是忠智之僕、主任之督其家人、依時而予糧乎、

孰是忠智之僕、家主所任以督其家人、按時而予其糧乎、

設有忠智之僕、受家主之託、督其家人、按時給食；

“ Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time?

“ Suppose a master puts one of his slaves in charge of the other slaves in his house. The slave’s job is to give them their food at the right time. The master wants a faithful and wise slave for this.

“ Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his master has set over his household, to give them their food at the proper time?

“ A faithful, sensible servant is one to whom the master can give the responsibility of managing his other household servants and feeding them.

“ Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master has put in charge of his household, to give them food at the proper time?

“ Who then is the faithful and sensible slave whom his master put in charge of his household slaves, to give them their food at the proper time?

“ Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season?

Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath set over his household, to give them their food in due season?

Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?

“ Who then is the faithful and wise slave, whom the master has put in charge of his household, to give the other slaves their food at the proper time?

“ Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his lord has set over his household, to give them their food in due season?

“ His master said to him,‘ Well done, good and faithful slave! You were faithful over a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Share your master’s joy!’

“ His master said to him,‘ Well done, good and faithful slave! You were faithful over a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Share your master’s joy!’

Moses was faithful as a servant in all God’s household, as a testimony to what would be said in the future.

And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, commit to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.

“ Lord,” Peter asked,“ are You telling this parable to us or to everyone?”The Lord said:“ Who then is the faithful and sensible manager his master will put in charge of his household servants to give them their allotted food at the proper time?That slave whose master finds him working when he comes will be rewarded.

A person should consider us in this way: as servants of Christ and managers of God’s mysteries.In this regard, it is expected of managers that each one of them be found faithful.

I give thanks to Christ Jesus our Lord who has strengthened me, because He considered me faithful, appointing me to the ministry—

I know where you live— where Satan’s throne is! And you are holding on to My name and did not deny your faith in Me, even in the days of Antipas, My faithful witness who was killed among you, where Satan lives.

When they had eaten breakfast, Jesus asked Simon Peter,“ Simon, son of John, do you love Me more than these?”“ Yes, Lord,” he said to Him,“ You know that I love You.”“ Feed My lambs,” He told him.A second time He asked him,“ Simon, son of John, do you love Me?”“ Yes, Lord,” he said to Him,“ You know that I love You.”“ Shepherd My sheep,” He told him.He asked him the third time,“ Simon, son of John, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved that He asked him the third time,“ Do you love Me?” He said,“ Lord, You know everything! You know that I love You.”“ Feed My sheep,” Jesus said.

For I was hungry and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in;I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you took care of Me; I was in prison and you visited Me.’“ Then the righteous will answer Him,‘ Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You something to drink?When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or without clothes and clothe You?When did we see You sick, or in prison, and visit You?’“ And the King will answer them,‘ I assure you: Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did for Me.’

“ Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them will be like a sensible man who built his house on the rock.

“‘ Well done, good slave!’ he told him.‘ Because you have been faithful in a very small matter, have authority over 10 towns.’

Based on the gift each one has received, use it to serve others, as good managers of the varied grace of God.If anyone speaks, it should be as one who speaks God’s words; if anyone serves, it should be from the strength God provides, so that God may be glorified through Jesus Christ in everything. To Him belong the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.

Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock that the Holy Spirit has appointed you to as overseers, to shepherd the church of God, which He purchased with His own blood.

“ Look, I’m sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as serpents and as harmless as doves.

Brothers, I was not able to speak to you as spiritual people but as people of the flesh, as babies in Christ.I gave you milk to drink, not solid food, because you were not yet ready for it. In fact, you are still not ready,

“ Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel. Prophesy, and say to them: This is what the Lord God says to the shepherds: Woe to the shepherds of Israel, who have been feeding themselves! Shouldn’t the shepherds feed their flock?

Whoever is faithful in very little is also faithful in much, and whoever is unrighteous in very little is also unrighteous in much.So if you have not been faithful with the unrighteous money, who will trust you with what is genuine?And if you have not been faithful with what belongs to someone else, who will give you what is your own?

And He personally gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers,for the training of the saints in the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ,until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of God’s Son, growing into a mature man with a stature measured by Christ’s fullness.

Five of them were foolish and five were sensible.

“ Therefore,” He said to them,“ every student of Scripture instructed in the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who brings out of his storeroom what is new and what is old.”

Therefore, as a fellow elder and witness to the sufferings of the Messiah and also a participant in the glory about to be revealed, I exhort the elders among you:Shepherd God’s flock among you, not overseeing out of compulsion but freely, according to God’s will; not for the money but eagerly;not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock.
