As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately.“ Tell us,” they said,“ when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”

And He said to them,“ It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.

Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked Him privately,“ Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign when all these things will be fulfilled?”

Now when they drew near Jerusalem, and came to Bethphage, at the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples,

He then would have had to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.

And one said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river,“ How long shall the fulfillment of these wonders be?”Then I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand to heaven, and swore by Him who lives forever, that it shall be for a time, times, and half a time; and when the power of the holy people has been completely shattered, all these things shall be finished.Although I heard, I did not understand. Then I said,“ My Lord, what shall be the end of these things?”

But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.

But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels.Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age.

“ Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near.So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near— at the doors!

For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

So it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come forth, separate the wicked from among the just,

But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you.For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.For when they say,“ Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness.Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night.But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation.For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.

teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

Peter, seeing him, said to Jesus,“ But Lord, what about this man?”Jesus said to him,“ If I will that he remain till I come, what is that to you? You follow Me.”

So they asked Him, saying,“ Teacher, but when will these things be? And what sign will there be when these things are about to take place?”

Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said,“ Why could we not cast it out?”

and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

Then Jesus sent the multitude away and went into the house. And His disciples came to Him, saying,“ Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field.”

Then His disciples came and said to Him,“ Do You know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?”

And the disciples came and said to Him,“ Why do You speak to them in parables?”He answered and said to them,“ Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given.
