As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately.“ Tell us,” they said,“ when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”

While he was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples approached him privately and said,“ Tell us, when will these things happen? And what is the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”

And as He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying,“ Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”

And as he sat on the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what[ shall be] the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

耶穌對他們說：『父放在自己權內所定的時候或時期、並不是給你們知道的。

耶穌在橄欖山上對着聖殿而坐着；彼得雅各約翰和安得烈暗暗地問他說：『請告訴我們：甚麼時候會有這些事呢？這一切事將要實現的時候會有甚麼迹象呢？』

耶穌和門徒走近耶路撒冷，來到伯法其，橄欖山那裏，耶穌便差遣兩個門徒，

假使如此，從世界創立以來，他就必須多次受苦了！其實他在今世的末期、乃是儘一次地顯現，藉着自己之奉獻為祭、好把罪廢掉的。

我問身穿細麻服裝、站在河水以上的那人說：『這些奇事的結局、要等幾時才到呢？』我聽見身穿細麻服裝、站在河水以上、向天舉起左右手、指着那永遠活着的主來起誓的那人說：『要經過一個定期，兩個定期，半個定期，到打破聖民權力的事都作完了時，這一切事就都完了。我聽見了，卻不明白；我就說：『我主啊，這些事的結局怎麼樣呢？』

但這一點你們卻要曉得：家主若知道賊甚麼更次要來，他就要儆醒，不容他的房屋被挖透。

挪亞的日子怎樣，人子之御臨也必怎樣。

那撒稗子的仇敵呢、是魔鬼。收割的時候呢、是今世之完結；收割的呢、是天使。所以稗子怎樣薅出來，用火燒掉，惡人在今世之完結，也必這樣。

『你們要從無花果樹學個比喻：當它的枝子一發嫩長葉時，你們就知道夏天近了。你們也是這樣：你們幾時看見這一切事，就知道他臨近了，在門口了。

因為閃電怎樣從東邊發出，直照到西邊，人子之御臨也必這樣。

惡人在今世之完結也必這樣。天使必出來，把惡人從義人中分別出來，

弟兄們，關於時候與時期、你們無需乎人寫信給你們了，因為你們自己明確地曉得主的日子就像個賊夜裏來到一樣。人正說平安穩妥的時候，就在那時、突來的死滅就臨到他們了——正如產難臨到懷孕的婦人一樣——他們斷不能逃脫。但你們呢、弟兄們，你們並不是在黑暗裏、以致那日子像個賊突襲了你們一樣。你們都是光明之兒女，白晝之兒女。我們不是屬夜的，也不是屬黑暗的。那我們就不該睡着、像其餘的人一樣了；卻要儆醒着、冷靜戒備着。因為睡着的人是夜裏睡，醉酒的人是夜裏醉。但我們呢、我們既是屬於白晝的，就該冷靜戒備着，穿上了信與愛做胸甲，又戴上了得救之盼望當做頭盔。因為上帝並不是派定我們去受他的義怒的，乃是派定我們、藉着我們的主耶穌基督、得拯救以為業的。基督為了我們死，叫我們或醒着、或睡着、都與他同活。故此你們要互相鼓勵，彼此建立，正如你們素常所行的。

教訓他們遵守我所吩咐你們的一切事；看吧，一切日子、我都和你們同在，直到今世的完結。』

彼得看見這個人，就對耶穌說：『主啊，這人怎麼樣呢？』耶穌對彼得說：『我若願意他存留着、等到我來，與你何干？你、跟着我！」

他們就詰問他說：『先生，那麼甚麼時候會有這些事呢？這些事將要發生的時候、會有甚麼迹象呢？』

那時門徒私下上耶穌跟前來，說：『為甚麼我們不能趕它呢？』

不知不覺，到洪水來了，把一切都沖了去：人子之御臨也必這樣。

耶穌離開那一羣人，進了屋裏，門徒就上他跟前來說：『請把田間稗子的比喻給我們講解吧。』

那時門徒上前來，對耶穌說：『法利賽人聽了這話，顯着格格不入，你知道麼？』

門徒上前來，對耶穌說：『你對眾人說話，為甚麼用比喻呢？』耶穌回答他們說：『天國的奧祕是給你們知道，而不是給那些人的。
