As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately.“ Tell us,” they said,“ when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”

And as He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying,“ Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”

耶穌對他們說：「父憑着自己的權柄所定的時候、日期，不是你們可以知道的。

耶穌在橄欖山上對聖殿而坐。彼得、雅各、約翰，和安得烈暗暗地問他說：「請告訴我們，甚麼時候有這些事呢？這一切事將成的時候有甚麼預兆呢？」

耶穌和門徒將近耶路撒冷，到了伯法其，在橄欖山那裏。

如果這樣，他從創世以來，就必多次受苦了。但如今在這末世顯現一次，把自己獻為祭，好除掉罪。

有一個問那站在河水以上、穿細麻衣的說：「這奇異的事到幾時才應驗呢？」我聽見那站在河水以上、穿細麻衣的，向天舉起左右手，指着活到永遠的主起誓說：「要到一載、二載、半載，打破聖民權力的時候，這一切事就都應驗了。」我聽見這話，卻不明白，就說：「我主啊，這些事的結局是怎樣呢？」

家主若知道幾更天有賊來，就必警醒，不容人挖透房屋；這是你們所知道的。

挪亞的日子怎樣，人子降臨也要怎樣。

撒稗子的仇敵就是魔鬼；收割的時候就是世界的末了；收割的人就是天使。將稗子薅出來用火焚燒，世界的末了也要如此。

「你們可以從無花果樹學個比方：當樹枝發嫩長葉的時候，你們就知道夏天近了。這樣，你們看見這一切的事，也該知道人子近了，正在門口了。

閃電從東邊發出，直照到西邊。人子降臨也要這樣。

世界的末了也要這樣。天使要出來，從義人中把惡人分別出來，

弟兄們，論到時候、日期，不用寫信給你們，因為你們自己明明曉得，主的日子來到，好像夜間的賊一樣。人正說「平安穩妥」的時候，災禍忽然臨到他們，如同產難臨到懷胎的婦人一樣，他們絕不能逃脫。弟兄們，你們卻不在黑暗裏，叫那日子臨到你們像賊一樣。你們都是光明之子，都是白晝之子。我們不是屬黑夜的，也不是屬幽暗的。所以，我們不要睡覺像別人一樣，總要警醒謹守。因為睡了的人是在夜間睡，醉了的人是在夜間醉。但我們既然屬乎白晝，就應當謹守，把信和愛當作護心鏡遮胸，把得救的盼望當作頭盔戴上。因為神不是預定我們受刑，乃是預定我們藉着我們主耶穌基督得救。他替我們死，叫我們無論醒着，睡着，都與他同活。所以，你們該彼此勸慰，互相建立，正如你們素常所行的。

凡我所吩咐你們的，都教訓他們遵守，我就常與你們同在，直到世界的末了。」

彼得看見他，就問耶穌說：「主啊，這人將來如何？」耶穌對他說：「我若要他等到我來的時候，與你何干？你跟從我吧！」

他們問他說：「夫子！甚麼時候有這事呢？這事將到的時候有甚麼預兆呢？」

門徒暗暗地到耶穌跟前，說：「我們為甚麼不能趕出那鬼呢？」

不知不覺洪水來了，把他們全都沖去。人子降臨也要這樣。

當下，耶穌離開眾人，進了房子。他的門徒進前來，說：「請把田間稗子的比喻講給我們聽。」

當時，門徒進前來對他說：「法利賽人聽見這話，不服，你知道嗎？」

門徒進前來，問耶穌說：「對眾人講話，為甚麼用比喻呢？」耶穌回答說：「因為天國的奧祕只叫你們知道，不叫他們知道。
