As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately.“ Tell us,” they said,“ when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”

And as He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying,“ Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”

耶稣对他们说：“父凭着自己的权柄所定的时候和日期，不是你们可以知道的。

耶稣在橄榄山上，面对圣殿坐着。彼得、雅各、约翰和安得烈悄悄地问他：“请告诉我们，这些事什么时候会发生呢？这一切将要成就的时候，会有什么预兆呢？”

当耶稣和门徒们临近耶路撒冷，来到橄榄山附近的伯法其的时候，耶稣派了两个门徒，

否则，从创世以来，他就必须再三地受难了。但如今，他在万世的末期显现了一次，好藉着献上自己为祭，把罪除掉。

其中一位对那身穿细麻衣、在河水之上的人说：“这些奇妙之事的结局要到什么时候呢？”我听见那身穿细麻衣、在河水之上的人说话；他向天举起左右手，指着永远活着的那一位起誓说：“要经过一期、二期、半期，当圣洁子民的力量被打碎时，这一切事就会成就。”我听见却不领悟，就说：“我主啊，这些事的结局会是怎样呢？”

不过你们应当知道这一点：一家的主人如果知道贼什么时刻来，他就会警醒，不让他的房子被人钻进。

挪亚的那些日子怎样，人子的来临也将要怎样。

撒稗子的仇敌是魔鬼，收割的季节是世代的终结，收割的人是天使。就像稗子被拔出来用火烧掉，在这世代的终结也将是这样。

“你们要从无花果树那里学个比喻：当无花果树的枝子发嫩长出叶子的时候，你们就知道夏天快到了。照样，当你们看见这一切的时候，你们就知道人子快到了，就在门口了。

因为就像闪电从东边发出，直照到西边，人子的来临也将要这样。

在这世代的终结也将是这样。天使们要出去，把恶人从义人中分别出来，

弟兄们，关于这些时候和日期，你们不需要我写什么给你们了。因为你们自己明确地知道，主的日子来临，就像夜里的贼来临那样。当人们正说“和平”、“安全”的时候，毁灭那时就突然临到他们，就像孕妇的临产阵痛那样，他们绝不能逃脱。不过弟兄们，你们不是在黑暗里，以致那日子像贼一样抓住你们。因为你们都是光明的儿女，白昼的儿女。我们不属于黑夜，也不属于黑暗。由此可见，我们不要像其他人那样睡着了，而要警醒、谨慎。因为睡觉的人是在夜里睡，醉酒的人是在夜里醉。但我们既然属于白昼，就让我们谨慎，以信与爱做为护胸甲穿上，以救恩的盼望做为头盔戴上。因为神不是预定我们到震怒里面，而是预定我们藉着我们的主耶稣基督获得救恩。基督替我们死，为要使我们无论是醒着还是睡着，都与他一同活着。因此，你们要彼此鼓励，互相造就，就像你们现在所做的那样。

凡我所吩咐你们的，都教导他们遵守。看哪，我就天天都与你们同在，直到这世代的终结。”

彼得看见他，就问耶稣：“主啊，那么，这个人会怎么样呢？”耶稣说：“就算我愿意他一直留到我来的时候，这与你有什么关系？你跟从我！”

他们就问耶稣，说：“老师，那么，这些事什么时候会发生呢？这些事将要发生的时候，会有什么预兆呢？”

门徒们悄悄地前来问耶稣：“我们为什么不能赶出那鬼魔呢？”

他们毫不察觉，直到洪水到来，把一切冲走。人子的来临，也将是这样。

然后，耶稣离开了人群，进了屋子。他的门徒们上前来，说：“请给我们解释一下田里稗子的比喻。”

那时，门徒们前来对他说：“法利赛人听了这话很反感，你知道吗？”

门徒们上前来，问耶稣：“你对他们讲话，为什么用比喻呢？”耶稣回答他们，说：“天国的奥秘已经赐下来让你们知道，而没有赐给那些人；
