Unless those days had been shortened, no flesh would have been saved. But for the sake of the chosen ones, those days will be shortened.

若不减少那日子，凡有血气的总没有一个得救的；只是为选民，那日子必减少了。

若不减少那些日子，凡血肉之躯的，就没有一个能得救；可是为了选民，那些日子将减少。

若非減其日、則無得救者、但為選民故、其日將減耳、

斯時不稍減其日、則無得救者、蓋為所選之民、此日可稍減耳、

若不稍減其日、則無一人得救、但為蒙選者、其日必減、

若不減其時日、血氣之倫、將無倖全；惟為蒙選者之故、時日必當見減。

“ If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened.

“ If the time had not been cut short, no one would live. But because of God’s chosen people, it will be shortened.

And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.

In fact, unless that time of calamity is shortened, not a single person will survive. But it will be shortened for the sake of God’s chosen ones.

Unless the Lord had shortened the days, no flesh would have been saved; but for the sake of the chosen ones, whom he picked out, he shortened the days.

For there will arise false christs, and false prophets, and they will show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones.

He will send out his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together his chosen ones from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.

Won’t God avenge his chosen ones who are crying out to him day and night, and yet he exercises patience with them?

Therefore I endure all things for the chosen ones’ sake, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.

For being not yet born, neither having done anything good or bad, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him who calls,

Yahweh says,“ As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one says,‘ Don’t destroy it, for a blessing is in it:’ so I will do for my servants’ sake, that I may not destroy them all.I will bring offspring out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains. My chosen will inherit it, and my servants will dwell there.

For I don’t desire you to be ignorant, brothers, of this mystery, so that you won’t be wise in your own conceits, that a partial hardening has happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in,and so all Israel will be saved. Even as it is written,“ There will come out of Zion the Deliverer, and he will turn away ungodliness from Jacob.This is my covenant with them, when I will take away their sins.”Concerning the Good News, they are enemies for your sake. But concerning the election, they are beloved for the fathers’ sake.For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.For as you in time past were disobedient to God, but now have obtained mercy by their disobedience,even so these also have now been disobedient, that by the mercy shown to you they may also obtain mercy.

For many are called, but few chosen.”

If there is a tenth left in it, that also will in turn be consumed, as a terebinth, and as an oak, whose stump remains when they are cut down; so the holy seed is its stock.”

For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city will be taken, the houses rifled, and the women ravished. Half of the city will go out into captivity, and the rest of the people will not be cut off from the city.

It shall happen that in all the land,” says Yahweh,“ two parts in it will be cut off and die; but the third will be left in it.
