For false christs and false prophets will arise and will provide great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect.

And He will send forth His angels with a great trumpet blast, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.

now, will God not bring about justice for His elect who cry out to Him day and night, and will He delay long for them?

For this reason I endure all things for the sake of those who are chosen, so that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus and with it eternal glory.

for though the twins were not yet born and had not done anything good or bad, so that God’s purpose according to His choice would stand, not because of works but because of Him who calls,

This is what the Lord says:“ Just as the new wine is found in the cluster, And one says,‘ Do not destroy it, for there is benefit in it,’ So I will act in behalf of My servants In order not to destroy all of them.I will bring forth offspring from Jacob, And an heir of My mountains from Judah; My chosen ones shall inherit it, And My servants will live there.

For I do not want you, brothers and sisters, to be uninformed of this mystery— so that you will not be wise in your own estimation— that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in;and so all Israel will be saved; just as it is written:“ The Deliverer will come from Zion, He will remove ungodliness from Jacob.”“ This is My covenant with them, When I take away their sins.”In relation to the gospel they are enemies on your account, but in relation to God’s choice they are beloved on account of the fathers;for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.For just as you once were disobedient to God, but now have been shown mercy because of their disobedience,so these also now have been disobedient, that because of the mercy shown to you they also may now be shown mercy.

For many are called, but few are chosen.”

Yet there will still be a tenth portion in it, And it will again be subject to burning, Like a terebinth or an oak Whose stump remains when it is cut down. The holy seed is its stump.”

For I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle, and the city will be taken, the houses plundered, the women raped, and half of the city exiled, but the rest of the people will not be eliminated from the city.

And it will come about in all the land,” Declares the Lord,“ That two parts in it will be cut off and perish; But the third will be left in it.
