若不稍減其日、則無一人得救、但為蒙選者、其日必減、

若不减少那日子，凡有血气的总没有一个得救的；只是为选民，那日子必减少了。

若主不稍減其日、則無一人得救、惟天主為其所救之選民、已稍減其日、

因將有偽基督偽先知起、施大異跡、大奇事、若能惑選民則亦惑之、

遣其使者吹角、角聲甚大、集其選民於四方、自天此極至彼極、○

天主之選民、晝夜籲禱天主、其應允或遲、豈不終伸其冤乎、

故我為蒙選者忍受諸難、使彼亦因基督耶穌得救、並得永存之榮、

子尚未生、未行善惡、而語利伯加云、長子必事幼子、以示天主選人之旨、非由行事、乃由召者、

主如是云、葡萄果有汁、人皆曰、勿壞之、蓋美在其中、我緣我僕之故、不盡殲滅亦若是、我將自雅各中攜數苗裔出、自猶大中攜數人出、可得我聖山為業、我之選民必得其地為業、我之僕必居之焉、

兄弟乎、我甚欲爾知此奧義、免爾自視為智、即以色列人有剛愎者、惟待眾異邦人歸誠、然後以色列人俱必得救、如經載云、將有救主、自郇而出、除雅各之不虔、又曰、我除其罪、我與彼所立之約即此、以福音論之、彼則為敵、為爾曹也、以選擇論之、彼則見愛、為列祖也、蓋天主恩賜及其召人、皆無悔也、昔爾曹不信天主、今反因以色列人之不信、而蒙矜恤、如是、以色列人今不信、使其因爾之蒙矜恤、亦蒙矜恤、

蓋見召者多、蒙選者少也、○

其中所遺、雖僅十分之一、亦歸滅絕、然猶存聖裔、為斯地之根本、如栗樹橡樹、雖經斬伐、根本尚存、或作譬彼栗樹橡樹斬伐枝條尚留根株聖種猶存為斯地之根本亦復若是

我將和會萬邦、萬邦或作萬族來攻耶路撒冷、城必陷、宅第被刼奪、婦女被玷污、邑民之半被擄掠、其餘之民、仍存邑中、仍存邑中原文作不致見絕於邑

主曰、於斯全地、三分之二必滅絕死亡、三分之一猶可生存、
