Do not look behind you, and do not stay anywhere in the surrounding area; escape to the mountains, or you will be swept away.”

A prudent person sees evil and hides himself, But the naive proceed, and pay the penalty.

Everyone among the servants of Pharaoh who feared the word of the Lord hurried to bring his servants and his livestock into the houses;but everyone who did not pay regard to the word of the Lord left his servants and his livestock in the field.

Then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains, and those who are inside the city must leave, and those who are in the country must not enter the city;because these are days of punishment, so that all things which have been written will be fulfilled.

Now it happened when the army of the Chaldeans had withdrawn from Jerusalem because of Pharaoh’s army,that Jeremiah left Jerusalem to go to the land of Benjamin in order to take possession of some property there among the people.

“ Flee to safety, you sons of Benjamin, From the midst of Jerusalem! Blow a trumpet in Tekoa And raise a warning signal over Beth haccerem; For evil looks down from the north, Along with a great destruction.
