“ So when you see standing in the holy place‘ the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel— let the reader understand—

『所以你們幾時看見由神言人但以理所說那「引致荒涼的可憎之像」立在聖地上（誦讀的人須要了悟啊）；

「當你們看見藉著先知但以理所說的『那帶來毀滅的褻瀆者』站在聖地的時候——讀者應當思考——

爾觀先知但以理所言、穢惡摧殘者、立於聖地、讀者宜致思焉、

爾觀先知但以理所言、指殘賊可惡之物、立於聖地、讀者宜致思焉、

爾觀先知但以理所言、殘賊可惡之物、立於聖地、讀者當悟之、

迨見先知達尼理所言「面目猙獰、慘無人道之物」立於聖地、（讀者當會意）

“ The prophet Daniel spoke about‘ the hated thing that destroys.’( Daniel 9:27; 11:31; 12:11) Someday you will see it standing in the holy place. The reader should understand this.

“ So when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place( let the reader understand),

“ The day is coming when you will see what Daniel the prophet spoke about— the sacrilegious object that causes desecration standing in the Holy Place.”( Reader, pay attention!)

“ So when you see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place”( let the reader understand),

“ Therefore when you see the abomination of desolation which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place— let the reader understand—

“ Therefore when you see the‘ abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place”( whoever reads, let him understand),

When therefore ye see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place( let him that readeth understand),

When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place,( whoso readeth, let him understand:)

“ So when you see the abomination of desolation– spoken about by Daniel the prophet– standing in the holy place( let the reader understand),

“ When, therefore, you see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place( let the reader understand),

He will confirm a covenant with many for one‘ seven.’ In the middle of the‘ seven’ he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.”

“ From the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days.

“ When you see‘ the abomination that causes desolation’ standing where it does not belong— let the reader understand— then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

“ When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near.

“ His armed forces will rise up to desecrate the temple fortress and will abolish the daily sacrifice. Then they will set up the abomination that causes desolation.

The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side.

Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.

As soon as you began to pray, a word went out, which I have come to tell you, for you are highly esteemed. Therefore, consider the word and understand the vision:

“ Know and understand this: From the time the word goes out to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, the ruler, comes, there will be seven‘ sevens,’ and sixty- two‘ sevens.’ It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble.

Then he continued,“ Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them.But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia.Now I have come to explain to you what will happen to your people in the future, for the vision concerns a time yet to come.”

We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away.

They produced false witnesses, who testified,“ This fellow never stops speaking against this holy place and against the law.

shouting,“ Fellow Israelites, help us! This is the man who teaches everyone everywhere against our people and our law and this place. And besides, he has brought Greeks into the temple and defiled this holy place.”

The man said to me,“ Son of man, look carefully and listen closely and pay attention to everything I am going to show you, for that is why you have been brought here. Tell the people of Israel everything you see.”

Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”

If we let him go on like this, everyone will believe in him, and then the Romans will come and take away both our temple and our nation.”
