我告爾、今而後爾不復見我、直待至爾云託主名而來者當稱頌、

蓋吾語爾、自今而後、以至爾歡呼「奉主名而來者、洵堪頌揚」之日、爾將不得睹予矣。』

Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord. From the temple of the Lord we bless you.

Some of the people went ahead of him, and some followed. They all shouted,“ Hosanna to the Son of David!”“ Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord!”( Psalm 118:26)“ Hosanna in the highest heaven!”

Brothers and sisters, here is a mystery I want you to understand. It will keep you from being proud. Part of Israel has refused to obey God. That will continue until the full number of Gentiles has entered God’s kingdom.

But their minds were made stubborn. To this day, the same veil remains when the old covenant is read. The veil has not been removed. Only faith in Christ can take it away.To this day, when the Law of Moses is read, a veil covers the minds of those who hear it.But when anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.Now the Lord is the Holy Spirit. And where the Spirit of the Lord is, freedom is also there.None of our faces are covered with a veil. All of us can see the Lord’s glory and think deeply about it. So we are being changed to become more like him so that we have more and more glory. And this glory comes from the Lord, who is the Holy Spirit.

Once more Jesus said to them,“ I am going away. You will look for me, and you will die in your sin. You can’t come where I am going.”

Before long, the world will not see me anymore. But you will see me. Because I live, you will live also.

Your father Abraham was filled with joy at the thought of seeing my day. He saw it and was glad.”

So the people of Israel will live for a long time without a king or prince. They won’t have sacrifices or sacred stones. They won’t have sacred linen aprons or statues of family gods.

Jesus answered,“ Don’t you know me, Philip? I have been among you such a long time! Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. So how can you say,‘ Show us the Father’?

The Spirit had told Simeon that he would not die before he had seen the Lord’s Messiah.The Spirit led him into the temple courtyard. Then Jesus’ parents brought the child in. They came to do for him what the Law required.Simeon took Jesus in his arms and praised God. He said,“ Lord, you are the King over all. Now let me, your servant, go in peace. That is what you promised.My eyes have seen your salvation.

Then Jesus spoke to his disciples.“ The time is coming,” he said,“ when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man. But you won’t see it.

I told you that you would die in your sins. This will happen if you don’t believe that I am he. If you don’t believe, you will certainly die in your sins.”

“ My Father has given all things to me. The Father is the only one who knows who the Son is. And the only ones who know the Father are the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to make the Father known.”Then Jesus turned to his disciples. He said to them in private,“ Blessed are the eyes that see what you see.

Zion, you are bringing good news to your people. Go up on a high mountain and announce it. Jerusalem, you are bringing good news to them. Shout the message loudly. Shout it out loud. Don’t be afraid. Say to the towns of Judah,“ Your God is coming!”The Lord and King is coming with power. He rules with a powerful arm. He has set his people free. He is bringing them back as his reward. He has won the battle over their enemies.He takes care of his flock like a shepherd. He gathers the lambs in his arms. He carries them close to his heart. He gently leads those that have little ones.

“ I will pour out a spirit of grace and prayer on David’s family line. I will also send it on those who live in Jerusalem. They will look to me. I am the one they have pierced. They will mourn over me as someone mourns over an only child who has died. They will be full of sorrow over me. Their sorrow will be just like someone’s sorrow over an oldest son.
