Therefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: some of them shall ye kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute from city to city:

看，我为此差派先知、智者、经师到你们这里来；有些你们要杀害、要钉上十字架，有些要在会堂里鞭打，从一个城追逼到另一个城。

故此我差遣神言人智慧人和經學士到你們這裏來；你看吧，有的你們要殺害，要釘十字架，有的你們要在你們的會堂裏鞭打，從這一個城追逼到那一個城；

看，我為此差派先知、智者、經師到你們這裡來；有些你們要殺害、要釘上十字架，有些要在會堂裡鞭打，從一個城追逼到另一個城。

是以我遣先知哲人士子就爾、見殺者有之、釘十架者有之、鞭於會堂、由此邑逐於彼邑者亦有之、

是以我遣先知、智人、士子就爾、殺者有之、釘十字架者有之、鞭於會堂者有之、在在窘逐者又有之、

是以我遣先知智人經士就爾、其中有爾所殺及釘十字架者、有爾所鞭於爾之會堂、由此邑窘逐至彼邑者、

是故吾遣先知哲人經師於爾、爾或刃之釘之、或鞭之於會堂、逐之於諸邑、

Therefore I am sending you prophets and sages and teachers. Some of them you will kill and crucify; others you will flog in your synagogues and pursue from town to town.

So I am sending you prophets, wise people, and teachers. You will kill some of them. You will nail some to a cross. Others you will whip in your synagogues. You will chase them from town to town.

Therefore I send you prophets and wise men and scribes, some of whom you will kill and crucify, and some you will flog in your synagogues and persecute from town to town,

“ Therefore, I am sending you prophets and wise men and teachers of religious law. But you will kill some by crucifixion, and you will flog others with whips in your synagogues, chasing them from city to city.

This is why I am sending you prophets, sages, and scribes. Some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will flog in your synagogues and pursue from town to town.

“ Therefore, behold, I am sending you prophets and wise men and scribes; some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will flog in your synagogues, and persecute from city to city,

Therefore, indeed, I send you prophets, wise men, and scribes: some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues and persecute from city to city,

This is why I am sending you prophets, sages, and scribes. Some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will flog in your synagogues and hound from town to town.

“ For this reason I am sending you prophets and wise men and experts in the law, some of whom you will kill and crucify, and some you will flog in your synagogues and pursue from town to town,

Therefore behold, I send to you prophets, wise men, and scribes. Some of them you will kill and crucify; and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues, and persecute from city to city;

Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to councils, and in their synagogues they will scourge you;

And he said unto them, Therefore every scribe who hath been made a disciple to the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is a householder, who bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.

whom we proclaim, admonishing every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ;

Now there were at Antioch, in the church that was there, prophets and teachers, Barnabas, and Symeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen the foster- brother of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

But when they persecute you in this city, flee into the next: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone through the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.

And I said, Lord, they themselves know that I imprisoned and beat in every synagogue them that believed on thee:and when the blood of Stephen thy witness was shed, I also was standing by, and consenting, and keeping the garments of them that slew him.

they were stoned, they were sawn asunder, they were tempted, they were slain with the sword: they went about in sheepskins, in goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, ill- treated

And he killed James the brother of John with the sword.

And Judas and Silas, being themselves also prophets, exhorted the brethren with many words, and confirmed them.

And Jehovah, the God of their fathers, sent to them by his messengers, rising up early and sending, because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling- place:but they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and scoffed at his prophets, until the wrath of Jehovah arose against his people, till there was no remedy.

But ye shall receive power, when the Holy Spirit is come upon you: and ye shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa and Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

and they cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their garments at the feet of a young man named Saul.And they stoned Stephen, calling upon the Lord, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.

And they that dwell on the earth rejoice over them, and make merry; and they shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwell on the earth.

Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one.Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day have I been in the deep;

and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name unto all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Spirit: as your fathers did, so do ye.Which of the prophets did not your fathers persecute? and they killed them that showed before of the coming of the Righteous One; of whom ye have now become betrayers and murderers;

They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the hour cometh, that whosoever killeth you shall think that he offereth service unto God.

Wherefore he saith, When he ascended on high, he led captivity captive, And gave gifts unto men.( Now this, He ascended, what is it but that he also descended into the lower parts of the earth?He that descended is the same also that ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.)And he gave some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;for the perfecting of the saints, unto the work of ministering, unto the building up of the body of Christ:

According to the grace of God which was given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder I laid a foundation; and another buildeth thereon. But let each man take heed how he buildeth thereon.

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; And he that is wise winneth souls.

Wherefore I make known unto you, that no man speaking in the Spirit of God saith, Jesus is anathema; and no man can say, Jesus is Lord, but in the Holy Spirit.Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.And there are diversities of ministrations, and the same Lord.And there are diversities of workings, but the same God, who worketh all things in all.But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit to profit withal.For to one is given through the Spirit the word of wisdom; and to another the word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit:to another faith, in the same Spirit; and to another gifts of healings, in the one Spirit;and to another workings of miracles; and to another prophecy; and to another discernings of spirits: to another divers kinds of tongues; and to another the interpretation of tongues:but all these worketh the one and the same Spirit, dividing to each one severally even as he will.

But Saul, yet breathing threatening and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,and asked of him letters to Damascus unto the synagogues, that if he found any that were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.

Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit:teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.

Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send unto them prophets and apostles; and some of them they shall kill and persecute;that the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation;from the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zachariah, who perished between the altar and the sanctuary: yea, I say unto you, it shall be required of this generation.

And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles unto them, they beat them and charged them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.

We speak wisdom, however, among them that are fullgrown: yet a wisdom not of this world, nor of the rulers of this world, who are coming to nought:

Jesus therefore said to them again, Peace be unto you: as the Father hath sent me, even so send I you.

But there came Jews thither from Antioch and Iconium: and having persuaded the multitudes, they stoned Paul, and dragged him out of the city, supposing that he was dead.

Now in these days there came down prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch.

Therefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: some of them shall ye kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute from city to city:that upon you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of Abel the righteous unto the blood of Zachariah son of Barachiah, whom ye slew between the sanctuary and the altar.Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.

forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they may be saved; to fill up their sins always: but the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.
