爾曹飾義以欺人、而內則虛偽邪惡、無所不有也。

In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.

It is the same with you. On the outside you seem to be doing what is right. But on the inside you are full of what is wrong. You pretend to be what you are not.

So you also outwardly appear righteous to others, but within you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.

Outwardly you look like righteous people, but inwardly your hearts are filled with hypocrisy and lawlessness.

But the Lord said to Samuel,“ Do not look at his appearance or his stature, because I have rejected him. Man does not see what the Lord sees, for man sees what is visible, but the Lord sees the heart.”

For the word of God is living and effective and sharper than any double-edged sword, penetrating as far as the separation of soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It is able to judge the ideas and thoughts of the heart.No creature is hidden from Him, but all things are naked and exposed to the eyes of Him to whom we must give an account.

The heart is more deceitful than anything else, and incurable— who can understand it?I, Yahweh, examine the mind, I test the heart to give to each according to his way, according to what his actions deserve.

For from the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, sexual immoralities, thefts, false testimonies, blasphemies.These are the things that defile a man, but eating with unwashed hands does not defile a man.”

For from within, out of people’s hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immoralities, thefts, murders,adulteries, greed, evil actions, deceit, promiscuity, stinginess, blasphemy, pride, and foolishness.All these evil things come from within and defile a person.”

Surely You desire integrity in the inner self, and You teach me wisdom deep within.

Brood of vipers! How can you speak good things when you are evil? For the mouth speaks from the overflow of the heart.A good man produces good things from his storeroom of good, and an evil man produces evil things from his storeroom of evil.
