“经文士和法利赛人哪，你们这些伪善的人有祸了！因为你们洗净杯子、盘子的外面，里面却盛满了贪心和放纵。

「你們這假冒為善的文士和法利賽人有禍了！因為你們洗淨杯盤的外面，裏面卻盛滿了勒索和放蕩。

「虛偽的律法教師和法利賽人啊，你們有禍了！你們洗淨杯盤的外面，裡頭卻盛滿了貪婪和放縱。

“虛偽的經學家和法利賽人哪，你們有禍了！你們洗淨杯盤的外面，裡面卻裝滿了搶奪和放蕩。

『經學士和法利賽人、假冒為善的人哪，你們有禍啊！因為你們潔淨杯盤的外面；裏面呢、卻滿了勒索和放縱。

「經文士和法利賽人哪，你們這些偽善的人有禍了！因為你們洗淨杯子、盤子的外面，裡面卻盛滿了貪心和放縱。

禍哉、爾偽善之士子與法利賽人乎、以爾潔杯盤之外、而內充以劫奪邪侈也、

偽善之士子、𠵽唎㘔人、其有禍乎、以爾潔杯盤之外、而劫奪非義充其內、

禍哉爾偽善之經士與法利賽人、因爾潔杯盤之外、內則充滿劫奪及非義、

哀哉爾經生與法利塞人、虛偽之徒也！蓋爾第潔杯盤之表、而內充貪污邪欲。

“ Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence.

“ How terrible for you, teachers of the law and Pharisees! You pretenders! You clean the outside of a cup and dish. But on the inside you are full of greed. You only want to satisfy yourselves.

“ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup and the plate, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence.

“ What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are so careful to clean the outside of the cup and the dish, but inside you are filthy— full of greed and self indulgence!

“ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence.

“ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup and of the dish, but inside they are full of robbery and self indulgence.

“ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of extortion and self-indulgence.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye cleanse the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full from extortion and excess.

主對他說：「如今你們法利賽人洗淨杯盤的外面，你們裏面卻滿了貪婪和邪惡。無知的人哪！造外面的，不也造了裏面嗎？

因為出於心裏的有種種惡念，如兇殺、姦淫、淫亂、偷盜、偽證、毀謗。這些才玷污人。至於不洗手吃飯，那並不玷污人。」

從市場來，若不洗淨也不吃飯；他們還拘守好些別的規矩，如洗杯、罐、銅器、床鋪等。法利賽人和文士問他說：「你的門徒為甚麼不照古人的傳統，竟然用不潔淨的手吃飯呢？」耶穌對他們說：「以賽亞指着你們假冒為善的人所預言的說得好。如經上所記：『這百姓用嘴唇尊敬我，他們的心卻遠離我。他們把人的規條當作教義教導人；他們拜我也是枉然。』你們是離棄神的誡命，拘守人的傳統。」耶穌又說：「你們誠然是廢棄神的誡命，為要守自己的傳統。摩西說：『當孝敬父母』；又說：『咒罵父母的，必須處死。』你們倒說：『人若對父母說：我所當供奉你的已經作了各耳板』（各耳板就是奉獻的意思），你們就容許他不必再奉養父母。這就是你們藉着繼承傳統，廢了神的話。你們還做許多這樣的事。」

這些人也因酒搖晃，因烈酒東倒西歪。祭司和先知因烈酒搖晃，被酒所困，因烈酒東倒西歪。他們錯解默示，審判時不分是非。筵席上都滿了嘔吐的污穢，沒有一處乾淨。
