“经文士和法利赛人哪，你们这些伪善的人有祸了！因为你们洗净杯子、盘子的外面，里面却盛满了贪心和放纵。

“虛偽的經學家和法利賽人哪，你們有禍了！你們洗淨杯盤的外面，裡面卻裝滿了搶奪和放蕩。

『經學士和法利賽人、假冒為善的人哪，你們有禍啊！因為你們潔淨杯盤的外面；裏面呢、卻滿了勒索和放縱。

「經文士和法利賽人哪，你們這些偽善的人有禍了！因為你們洗淨杯子、盤子的外面，裡面卻盛滿了貪心和放縱。

禍哉、爾偽善之士子與法利賽人乎、以爾潔杯盤之外、而內充以劫奪邪侈也、

偽善之士子、𠵽唎㘔人、其有禍乎、以爾潔杯盤之外、而劫奪非義充其內、

禍哉爾偽善之經士與法利賽人、因爾潔杯盤之外、內則充滿劫奪及非義、

哀哉爾經生與法利塞人、虛偽之徒也！蓋爾第潔杯盤之表、而內充貪污邪欲。

“ What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are so careful to clean the outside of the cup and the dish, but inside you are filthy— full of greed and self indulgence!

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye cleanse the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full from extortion and excess.

主對他說：「如今你們法利賽人洗淨杯盤的外面，你們裏面卻滿了勒索和邪惡。無知的人哪，造外面的，不也造裏面嗎？

因為從心裏發出來的，有惡念、凶殺、姦淫、苟合、偷盜、妄證、謗讟。這都是污穢人的；至於不洗手吃飯，那卻不污穢人。」

從市上來，若不洗浴也不吃飯；還有好些別的規矩，他們歷代拘守，就是洗杯、罐、銅器等物。）法利賽人和文士問他說：「你的門徒為甚麼不照古人的遺傳，用俗手吃飯呢？」耶穌說：「以賽亞指着你們假冒為善之人所說的預言是不錯的。如經上說：這百姓用嘴唇尊敬我，心卻遠離我。他們將人的吩咐當作道理教導人，所以拜我也是枉然。你們是離棄神的誡命，拘守人的遺傳」；又說：「你們誠然是廢棄神的誡命，要守自己的遺傳。摩西說：『當孝敬父母』；又說：『咒罵父母的，必治死他。』你們倒說：『人若對父母說：我所當奉給你的，已經作了各耳板』（各耳板就是供獻的意思），以後你們就不容他再奉養父母。這就是你們承接遺傳，廢了神的道。你們還做許多這樣的事。」

就是這地的人也因酒搖搖晃晃，因濃酒東倒西歪。祭司和先知因濃酒搖搖晃晃，被酒所困，因濃酒東倒西歪。他們錯解默示，謬行審判。因為各席上滿了嘔吐的污穢，無一處乾淨。
