『經學士和法利賽人、假冒為善的人哪，你們有禍啊！因為你們潔淨杯盤的外面；裏面呢、卻滿了勒索和放縱。

「經文士和法利賽人哪，你們這些偽善的人有禍了！因為你們洗淨杯子、盤子的外面，裡面卻盛滿了貪心和放縱。

禍哉、爾偽善之士子與法利賽人乎、以爾潔杯盤之外、而內充以劫奪邪侈也、

偽善之士子、𠵽唎㘔人、其有禍乎、以爾潔杯盤之外、而劫奪非義充其內、

禍哉爾偽善之經士與法利賽人、因爾潔杯盤之外、內則充滿劫奪及非義、

哀哉爾經生與法利塞人、虛偽之徒也！蓋爾第潔杯盤之表、而內充貪污邪欲。

主对他说：“你们法利赛人把杯盘的外面洗净，但你们里面却充满了抢夺和邪恶。无知的人哪，那造外面的，不也造里面吗？

因为从心里出来的，有恶念、凶杀、奸淫、淫乱、偷盗、假见证和毁谤。这些才会使人污秽，不洗手吃饭却不会这样。”

从街市回来，若不洗手，就不吃东西，还有许多别的传统，他们都沿袭拘守，例如洗杯、洗罐、洗铜器等等。）法利赛人和经学家问耶稣：“你的门徒为什么不遵行古人的传统，用不洁的手吃饭呢？”耶稣对他们说：“以赛亚指着你们这班伪君子所说的预言是对的，经上记着：‘这人民用嘴唇尊敬我，心却远离我；他们把人的规条当作道理去教导人，所以拜我也是徒然。’你们拘守着人的传统，却离弃了神的诫命。”耶稣又对他们说：“你们为了坚守自己的传统，而巧妙地把神的诫命拒绝了。因为摩西说：‘当孝敬父母’，又说：‘咒骂父母的，必被处死。’你们倒说：‘人对父母说，我应该给你的供奉，已经作了各耳板’（各耳板意思是奉给神的供物），你们就不让那人再为父母作什么。这样，你们藉着所领受的传统，把神的话废弃了。你们还作了许多这一类的事。”

就是这地的人，也因酒摇晃不定，因浓酒东倒西歪；祭司和先知都因浓酒摇晃不定，被酒弄至昏乱，因浓酒东倒西歪。他们见异象的时候，摇晃不定，他们判断的时候，也颠颠倒倒。因为各席上都满了污秽的呕吐，没有一处是干净的。
