指天而誓者、即指天主寶座、及居於寶座者而誓也。

And anyone who swears by heaven swears by God’s throne and by the one who sits on it.

And anyone making a promise in the name of heaven makes a promise in the name of God’s throne and the one who sits on it.

And whoever swears by heaven swears by the throne of God and by him who sits upon it.

And when you swear‘ by heaven,’ you are swearing by the throne of God and by God, who sits on the throne.

And the one who takes an oath by heaven takes an oath by God’s throne and by him who sits on it.

And the one who swears by heaven, swears both by the throne of God and by Him who sits upon it.

But I say to you, do not take oaths at all– not by heaven, because it is the throne of God,

The LORD is in his holy temple; the LORD’s throne is in heaven. His eyes watch; his eyes examine all people.

This is what the LORD says:“ The heavens are my throne and the earth is my footstool. Where then is the house you will build for me? Where is the place where I will rest?

Immediately I was in the Spirit, and a throne was standing in heaven with someone seated on it!And the one seated on it was like jasper and carnelian in appearance, and a rainbow looking like it was made of emerald encircled the throne.

‘ Heaven is my throne, and earth is the footstool for my feet. What kind of house will you build for me, says the Lord, or what is my resting place?
