指天而誓者、即指天主寶座、及居於寶座者而誓也。

And anyone who swears by heaven swears by God’s throne and by the one who sits on it.

And anyone making a promise in the name of heaven makes a promise in the name of God’s throne and the one who sits on it.

And whoever swears by heaven swears by the throne of God and by him who sits upon it.

And when you swear‘ by heaven,’ you are swearing by the throne of God and by God, who sits on the throne.

The LORD is in his holy temple; the LORD— his throne is in heaven. His eyes watch; his gaze examines everyone.

This is what the LORD says: Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool. Where could you possibly build a house for me? And where would my resting place be?

Immediately I was in the Spirit, and there was a throne in heaven and someone was seated on it.The one seated there had the appearance of jasper and carnelian stone. A rainbow that had the appearance of an emerald surrounded the throne.

Heaven is my throne, and the earth my footstool. What sort of house will you build for me? says the Lord, or what will be my resting place?
