凡自高的，必降为卑；自卑的，必升为高。

For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.

People who lift themselves up will be made humble. And people who make themselves humble will be lifted up.

Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.

But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says:“ God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.” (niv)

He has performed mighty deeds with his arm; he has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts.He has brought down rulers from their thrones but has lifted up the humble. (niv)

For this is what the high and exalted One says— he who lives forever, whose name is holy:“ I live in a high and holy place, but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite. (niv)

Though the Lord is exalted, he looks kindly on the lowly; though lofty, he sees them from afar. (niv)
