Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.

凡自高的，必降为卑；自卑的，必升为高。

自高的人必遭贬抑，谦卑的人必得尊荣。

凡高抬自己的，必被降卑；凡自己谦卑的，必被升高。

因为凡是自我高举的都会被降卑，而自我降卑的都会被高举。

蓋自高者必見抑、而自謙者必被舉也。

For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.

People who lift themselves up will be made humble. And people who make themselves humble will be lifted up.

Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.

Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child— this one is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

A person’s pride will humble him, but a humble spirit will gain honor.

“ Blessed are the poor in spirit, for the kingdom of heaven is theirs.

Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise, exalt, and glorify the King of the heavens, because all his works are true and his ways are just. He is able to humble those who walk in pride.

The fear of the LORD is what wisdom teaches, and humility comes before honor.

When others are humiliated and you say,“ Lift them up,” God will save the humble.

Pride comes before destruction, and an arrogant spirit before a fall.Better to be lowly of spirit with the humble than to divide plunder with the proud.

He has done a mighty deed with his arm; he has scattered the proud because of the thoughts of their hearts;he has toppled the mighty from their thrones and exalted the lowly.

For the High and Exalted One, who lives forever, whose name is holy, says this:“ I live in a high and holy place, and with the oppressed and lowly of spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and revive the heart of the oppressed.

Though the LORD is exalted, he takes note of the humble; but he knows the haughty from a distance.
