Jesus replied,“‘ Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Love him with all your mind.’( Deuteronomy 6:5)

耶穌對他說：「『你要以全心、全靈、全意愛主——你的神』，

曰、當盡心、盡性、盡意、愛主爾之上帝、

耶穌曰、當一心、一性、一意、愛主爾之上帝、

耶穌曰、爾當盡心盡性盡意愛主爾之天主、

對曰：『「盡爾之心、盡爾之情、盡爾之知、以愛爾上主天主。」

Jesus answered,“ Here is the most important one. Moses said,‘ Israel, listen to me. The Lord is our God. The Lord is one.Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Love him with all your mind and with all your strength.’( Deuteronomy 6:4, 5)

He answered,“‘ Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Love him with all your strength and with all your mind.’( Deuteronomy 6:5) And,‘ Love your neighbor as you love yourself.’ ”( Leviticus 19:18)

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Love him with all your strength.

To love God with all your heart and mind and strength is very important. So is loving your neighbor as you love yourself. These things are more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.”

And now, Israel, what is the Lord your God asking you to do? Honor him. Live exactly as he wants you to live. Love him. Serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.

The Lord your God will keep you from being stubborn. He’ll do the same thing for your children and their children. Then you will love him with all your heart and with all your soul. And you will live.

Here is how we know that we love God’s children. We know it when we love God and obey his commands.In fact, here is what it means to love God. We love him by obeying his commands. And his commands are not hard to obey.That’s because everyone who is a child of God has won the battle over the world. Our faith has won the battle for us.Who is it that has won the battle over the world? Only the person who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

“ This is the covenant I will make with them after that time, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their hearts. I will write my laws on their minds.”( Jeremiah 31:33)Then he adds,“ I will not remember their sins anymore. I will not remember the evil things they have done.”( Jeremiah 31:34)

The mind ruled by the power of sin is at war with God. It does not obey God’s law. It can’t.
