如兄弟同居、其一無子而死、則其妻不可他適、其弟可娶之、與嫂同室。首生之子、必為兄嗣、使不絕其名於以色列族中。如弟不欲、則嫂必赴邑門、見長老曰、我夫之弟、不欲其兄得嗣於以色列族中、故不與我同室。長老必召而問之、如仍不欲。則嫂必於長老前、解夫弟之履、唾於厥面、曰、不欲代兄生子為嗣者、必如是待之。後在以色列族中、必以解履名其人。
