And he said to him,‘ Friend, how did you get in here without wedding clothes?’ But he had nothing to say.

就对他说：‘朋友，你没有婚筵的礼服，怎能进到这里来呢？’他就无话可说。

就对他说：‘朋友，你进到这里来怎么没有穿婚宴的礼服呢？’那个人哑口无言。

就對他說：『朋友，你到這裏來怎麼不穿禮服呢？』那人無言可答。

就對他說：『朋友，你到這裏來怎麼不穿禮服呢？』那人無言可答。

就問他，『朋友，你來這裡怎麼不穿婚宴的禮服呢？』那人無言以對。

就對他說：‘朋友，你沒有婚筵的禮服，怎能進到這裡來呢？’他就無話可說。

就對他說：「同伴哪，你沒有婚筵禮服，怎麼進這裏來呢？」那人閉口無言。

就對他說：『朋友，你進到這裡來怎麼沒有穿婚宴的禮服呢？』那個人啞口無言。

謂之曰、友乎、不衣禮服、胡為乎來、其人默然、

客不衣禮服、胡為乎來、賓默然、

語之曰、友乎、爾不衣禮服何至此乎、其人默然、

謂之曰：「友、無禮服安得入此？」其人默然。

He asked,‘ How did you get in here without wedding clothes, friend?’ The man was speechless.

‘ Friend,’ he asked,‘ how did you get in here without wedding clothes?’ The man couldn’t think of anything to say.

And he said to him,‘ Friend, how did you get in here without a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless.

‘ Friend,’ he asked,‘ how is it that you are here without wedding clothes?’ But the man had no reply.

So he said to him,‘ Friend, how did you get in here without wedding clothes?’ The man was speechless.

and he* said to him,‘ Friend, how did you get in here without wedding clothes?’ And the man was speechless.

So he said to him,‘ Friend, how did you come in here without a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless.

and he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding- garment? And he was speechless.

So he said to him,‘ Friend, how did you get in here without wedding clothes?’ The man was speechless.

And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.

and he said to him,‘ Friend, how did you come in here not wearing wedding clothing?’ He was speechless.

Jesus said to him,“ Friend, do what you are here to do.” Then they came and took hold of Jesus and arrested him.

And the landowner replied to one of them,‘ Friend, I am not treating you unfairly. Didn’t you agree with me to work for the standard wage?

For I tell you, unless your righteousness goes beyond that of the experts in the law and the Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

When the godly see this, they rejoice, and every sinner shuts his mouth.

“ How can you say,‘ I have not made myself unclean. I have not paid allegiance to the gods called Baal.’ Just look at the way you have behaved in the Valley of Hinnom! Think about the things you have done there! You are like a flighty, young female camel that rushes here and there, crisscrossing its path.

He kept back for himself part of the proceeds with his wife’s knowledge; he brought only part of it and placed it at the apostles’ feet.But Peter said,“ Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back for yourself part of the proceeds from the sale of the land?Before it was sold, did it not belong to you? And when it was sold, was the money not at your disposal? How have you thought up this deed in your heart? You have not lied to people but to God!”When Ananias heard these words he collapsed and died, and great fear gripped all who heard about it.So the young men came, wrapped him up, carried him out, and buried him.After an interval of about three hours, his wife came in, but she did not know what had happened.Peter said to her,“ Tell me, were the two of you paid this amount for the land?” Sapphira said,“ Yes, that much.”Peter then told her,“ Why have you agreed together to test the Spirit of the Lord? Look! The feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out!”At once she collapsed at his feet and died. So when the young men came in, they found her dead, and they carried her out and buried her beside her husband.Great fear gripped the whole church and all who heard about these things.

He watches over his holy ones, but the wicked are made speechless in the darkness, for it is not by one’s own strength that one prevails.

You know that such a person is twisted by sin and is conscious of it himself.

Thus the poor have hope, and iniquity shuts its mouth.

Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world may be held accountable to God.

Just as a thief has to suffer dishonor when he is caught, so the people of Israel will suffer dishonor for what they have done. So will their kings and officials, their priests and their prophets.

So then, do not judge anything before the time. Wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the motives of hearts. Then each will receive recognition from God.

But Peter said to him,“ May your silver perish with you, because you thought you could acquire God’s gift with money!You have no share or part in this matter because your heart is not right before God!Therefore repent of this wickedness of yours, and pray to the Lord that he may perhaps forgive you for the intent of your heart.For I see that you are bitterly envious and in bondage to sin.”
