就對他說：「同伴哪，你沒有婚筵禮服，怎麼進這裏來呢？」那人閉口無言。

就對他說：『朋友，你進到這裡來怎麼沒有穿婚宴的禮服呢？』那個人啞口無言。

謂之曰、友乎、不衣禮服、胡為乎來、其人默然、

客不衣禮服、胡為乎來、賓默然、

語之曰、友乎、爾不衣禮服何至此乎、其人默然、

謂之曰：「友、無禮服安得入此？」其人默然。

He asked,‘ How did you get in here without wedding clothes, friend?’ The man was speechless.

‘ Friend,’ he asked,‘ how did you get in here without wedding clothes?’ The man couldn’t think of anything to say.

‘ Friend,’ he asked,‘ how is it that you are here without wedding clothes?’ But the man had no reply.

So he said to him,‘ Friend, how did you get in here without wedding clothes?’ The man was speechless.

and he* said to him,‘ Friend, how did you get in here without wedding clothes?’ And the man was speechless.

So he said to him,‘ Friend, how did you come in here without a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless.

and he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding- garment? And he was speechless.

Jesus said to him,“ Friend, do what you came to do.” Then they came up and laid hands on Jesus and seized him.

But he replied to one of them,‘ Friend, I am doing you no wrong. Did you not agree with me for a denarius?

For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

The upright see it and are glad, and all wickedness shuts its mouth.

How can you say,‘ I am not unclean, I have not gone after the Baals’? Look at your way in the valley; know what you have done— a restless young camel running here and there,

and with his wife’s knowledge he kept back for himself some of the proceeds and brought only a part of it and laid it at the apostles’ feet.But Peter said,“ Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back for yourself part of the proceeds of the land?While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was it not at your disposal? Why is it that you have contrived this deed in your heart? You have not lied to man but to God.”When Ananias heard these words, he fell down and breathed his last. And great fear came upon all who heard of it.The young men rose and wrapped him up and carried him out and buried him.After an interval of about three hours his wife came in, not knowing what had happened.And Peter said to her,“ Tell me whether you sold the land for so much.” And she said,“ Yes, for so much.”But Peter said to her,“ How is it that you have agreed together to test the Spirit of the Lord? Behold, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out.”Immediately she fell down at his feet and breathed her last. When the young men came in they found her dead, and they carried her out and buried her beside her husband.And great fear came upon the whole church and upon all who heard of these things.

“ He will guard the feet of his faithful ones, but the wicked shall be cut off in darkness, for not by might shall a man prevail.

knowing that such a person is warped and sinful; he is self-condemned.

So the poor have hope, and injustice shuts her mouth.

Now we know that whatever the law says it speaks to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and the whole world may be held accountable to God.

“ As a thief is shamed when caught, so the house of Israel shall be shamed: they, their kings, their officials, their priests, and their prophets,

Therefore do not pronounce judgment before the time, before the Lord comes, who will bring to light the things now hidden in darkness and will disclose the purposes of the heart. Then each one will receive his commendation from God.

But Peter said to him,“ May your silver perish with you, because you thought you could obtain the gift of God with money!You have neither part nor lot in this matter, for your heart is not right before God.Repent, therefore, of this wickedness of yours, and pray to the Lord that, if possible, the intent of your heart may be forgiven you.For I see that you are in the gall of bitterness and in the bond of iniquity.”
