“ Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you; He is just and having salvation, Lowly and riding on a donkey, A colt, the foal of a donkey.I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim And the horse from Jerusalem; The battle bow shall be cut off. He shall speak peace to the nations; His dominion shall be‘ from sea to sea, And from the River to the ends of the earth.’

Indeed the Lord has proclaimed To the end of the world:“ Say to the daughter of Zion,‘ surely your salvation is coming; Behold, His reward is with Him, And His work before Him.’”

The scepter shall not depart from Judah, Nor a lawgiver from between his feet, Until Shiloh comes; And to Him shall be the obedience of the people.

Sing, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O Israel! Be glad and rejoice with all your heart, O daughter of Jerusalem!The Lord has taken away your judgments, He has cast out your enemy. The King of Israel, the Lord, is in your midst; You shall see disaster no more.

“ David My servant shall be king over them, and they shall all have one shepherd; they shall also walk in My judgments and observe My statutes, and do them.

And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.Inasmuch as you saw that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold— the great God has made known to the king what will come to pass after this. The dream is certain, and its interpretation is sure.”

Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,

For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

Yet I will have mercy on the house of Judah, Will save them by the Lord their God, And will not save them by bow, Nor by sword or battle, By horses or horsemen.”

And I, the Lord, will be their God, and My servant David a prince among them; I, the Lord, have spoken.

“ Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord,“ That I will raise to David a Branch of righteousness; A King shall reign and prosper, And execute judgment and righteousness in the earth.In His days Judah will be saved, And Israel will dwell safely; Now this is His name by which He will be called: THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Cry out and shout, O inhabitant of Zion, For great is the Holy One of Israel in your midst!”

O Zion, You who bring good tidings, Get up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, You who bring good tidings, Lift up your voice with strength, Lift it up, be not afraid; Say to the cities of Judah,“ Behold your God!”

Give the king Your judgments, O God, And Your righteousness to the king’s Son.He will judge Your people with righteousness, And Your poor with justice.The mountains will bring peace to the people, And the little hills, by righteousness.He will bring justice to the poor of the people; He will save the children of the needy, And will break in pieces the oppressor.They shall fear You As long as the sun and moon endure, Throughout all generations.He shall come down like rain upon the grass before mowing, Like showers that water the earth.In His days the righteous shall flourish, And abundance of peace, Until the moon is no more.He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, And from the River to the ends of the earth.Those who dwell in the wilderness will bow before Him, And His enemies will lick the dust.The kings of Tarshish and of the isles Will bring presents; The kings of Sheba and Seba Will offer gifts.Yes, all kings shall fall down before Him; All nations shall serve Him.For He will deliver the needy when he cries, The poor also, and him who has no helper.He will spare the poor and needy, And will save the souls of the needy.He will redeem their life from oppression and violence; And precious shall be their blood in His sight.And He shall live; And the gold of Sheba will be given to Him; Prayer also will be made for Him continually, And daily He shall be praised.There will be an abundance of grain in the earth, On the top of the mountains; Its fruit shall wave like Lebanon; And those of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.His name shall endure forever; His name shall continue as long as the sun. And men shall be blessed in Him; All nations shall call Him blessed.Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel, Who only does wondrous things!And blessed be His glorious name forever! “ But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Though you are little among the thousands of Judah, Yet out of you shall come forth to Me The One to be Ruler in Israel, Whose goings forth are from of old, From everlasting.”

“ Speak, you who ride on white donkeys, Who sit in judges’ attire, And who walk along the road.

That I may tell of all Your praise In the gates of the daughter of Zion. I will rejoice in Your salvation.

Then speak to him, saying,‘ Thus says the Lord of hosts, saying:“ Behold, the Man whose name is the BRANCH! From His place He shall branch out, And He shall build the temple of the Lord;Yes, He shall build the temple of the Lord. He shall bear the glory, And shall sit and rule on His throne; So He shall be a priest on His throne, And the counsel of peace shall be between them both.”’

saying,“ Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.”

My heart is overflowing with a good theme; I recite my composition concerning the King; My tongue is the pen of a ready writer.You are fairer than the sons of men; Grace is poured upon Your lips; Therefore God has blessed You forever.Gird Your sword upon Your thigh, O Mighty One, With Your glory and Your majesty.And in Your majesty ride prosperously because of truth, humility, and righteousness; And Your right hand shall teach You awesome things.Your arrows are sharp in the heart of the King’s enemies; The peoples fall under You.Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.You love righteousness and hate wickedness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.All Your garments are scented with myrrh and aloes and cassia, Out of the ivory palaces, by which they have made You glad.Kings’ daughters are among Your honorable women; At Your right hand stands the queen in gold from Ophir.Listen, O daughter, Consider and incline your ear; Forget your own people also, and your father’s house;So the King will greatly desire your beauty; Because He is your Lord, worship Him.And the daughter of Tyre will come with a gift; The rich among the people will seek your favor.The royal daughter is all glorious within the palace; Her clothing is woven with gold.She shall be brought to the King in robes of many colors; The virgins, her companions who follow her, shall be brought to You.With gladness and rejoicing they shall be brought; They shall enter the King’s palace.Instead of Your fathers shall be Your sons, Whom You shall make princes in all the earth.I will make Your name to be remembered in all generations; Therefore the people shall praise You forever and ever.

Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

“ Yet I have set My King On My holy hill of Zion.”“ I will declare the decree: The Lord has said to Me,‘ You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession.You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’”Now therefore, be wise, O kings; Be instructed, you judges of the earth.Serve the Lord with fear, And rejoice with trembling.Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, When His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.

“ And it shall be in that day,” says the Lord,“ That I will cut off your horses from your midst And destroy your chariots.I will cut off the cities of your land And throw down all your strongholds.

And the king said to Ziba,“ What do you mean to do with these?” So Ziba said,“ The donkeys are for the king’s household to ride on, the bread and summer fruit for the young men to eat, and the wine for those who are faint in the wilderness to drink.”

‘ But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, Are not the least among the rulers of Judah; For out of you shall come a Ruler Who will shepherd My people Israel.’”

The king also said to them,“ Take with you the servants of your Lord, and have Solomon my son ride on my own mule, and take him down to Gihon.

Out of Jacob One shall have dominion, And destroy the remains of the city.”

But he shall not multiply horses for himself, nor cause the people to return to Egypt to multiply horses, for the Lord has said to you,‘ You shall not return that way again.’

“ I was watching in the night visions, And behold, One like the Son of Man, Coming with the clouds of heaven! He came to the Ancient of Days, And they brought Him near before Him.Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, That all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, Which shall not pass away, And His kingdom the one Which shall not be destroyed.

He will not quarrel nor cry out, Nor will anyone hear His voice in the streets.A bruised reed He will not break, And smoking flax He will not quench, Till He sends forth justice to victory;

He had forty sons and thirty grandsons, who rode on seventy young donkeys. He judged Israel eight years.

The Lord said to my Lord,“ Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”The Lord shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies!Your people shall be volunteers In the day of Your power; In the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning, You have the dew of Your youth.The Lord has sworn And will not relent,“ You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek.”

So they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door outside on the street, and they loosed it.But some of those who stood there said to them,“ What are you doing, loosing the colt?”And they spoke to them just as Jesus had commanded. So they let them go.Then they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their clothes on it, and He sat on it.And many spread their clothes on the road, and others cut down leafy branches from the trees and spread them on the road.Then those who went before and those who followed cried out, saying:“ Hosanna!‘ Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’Blessed is the kingdom of our father David That comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!”And Jesus went into Jerusalem and into the temple. So when He had looked around at all things, as the hour was already late, He went out to Bethany with the twelve.

And Solomon gathered chariots and horsemen; he had one thousand four hundred chariots and twelve thousand horsemen, whom he stationed in the chariot cities and with the king at Jerusalem.

Nathanael answered and said to Him,“ Rabbi, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!”

But they cried out,“ Away with Him, away with Him! Crucify Him!” Pilate said to them,“ Shall I crucify your King?” The chief priests answered,“ We have no king but Caesar!”Then he delivered Him to them to be crucified. Then they took Jesus and led Him away.And He, bearing His cross, went out to a place called the Place of a Skull, which is called in Hebrew, Golgotha,where they crucified Him, and two others with Him, one on either side, and Jesus in the center.Now Pilate wrote a title and put it on the cross. And the writing was: JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS.Then many of the Jews read this title, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city; and it was written in Hebrew, Greek, and Latin.Therefore the chief priests of the Jews said to Pilate,“ Do not write,‘ The King of the Jews,’ but,‘ He said,“ I am the King of the Jews.”’”Pilate answered,“ What I have written, I have written.”

Now I, Paul, myself am pleading with you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ— who in presence am lowly among you, but being absent am bold toward you.
