But when the tenants saw the son, they said to themselves,‘ This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him and get his inheritance!’

農夫見其子、則相語曰、此其嗣子、且來殺之、據其業、

農夫見其子、則私語曰、此其嗣子、且來殺之、業可據矣、

園夫見其子、相語曰、此乃嗣子、盍來殺之、以據其業、

孰意園戶一見其子、乃共議曰：「斯乃厥嗣、我等盍共殺之、可佔其產：」

“ But when the tenants saw the son, they said to each other,‘ This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him and take his inheritance.’

“ But the renters saw the son coming. They said to one another,‘ This is the one who will receive all the owner’s property someday. Come, let’s kill him. Then everything will be ours.’

But when the tenants saw the son, they said to themselves,‘ This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and have his inheritance.’

“ But when the tenant farmers saw his son coming, they said to one another,‘ Here comes the heir to this estate. Come on, let’s kill him and get the estate for ourselves!’

“ But when the tenant farmers saw the son, they said to each other,‘ This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him and take his inheritance.’

But when the vine growers saw the son, they said among themselves,‘ This is the heir; come, let’s kill him and take possession of his inheritance!’

But when the vinedressers saw the son, they said among themselves,‘ This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and seize his inheritance.’

But the husbandmen, when they saw the son, said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and take his inheritance.

“ But when the tenant farmers saw the son, they said among themselves,‘ This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him and take his inheritance!’

But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance.

But the farmers, when they saw the son, said among themselves,‘ This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him, and seize his inheritance.’

Now Joseph’s brothers saw him from a distance, and before he reached them, they plotted to kill him.They said to one another,“ Here comes this master of dreams!Come now, let’s kill him, throw him into one of the cisterns, and then say that a wild animal ate him. Then we’ll see how his dreams turn out!”

So the chief priests and the Pharisees called the council together and said,“ What are we doing? For this man is performing many miraculous signs.If we allow him to go on in this way, everyone will believe in him, and the Romans will come and take away our sanctuary and our nation.”Then one of them, Caiaphas, who was high priest that year, said,“ You know nothing at all!You do not realize that it is more to your advantage to have one man die for the people than for the whole nation to perish.”( Now he did not say this on his own, but because he was high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus was going to die for the Jewish nation,and not for the Jewish nation only, but to gather together into one the children of God who are scattered.)So from that day they planned together to kill him.

“ For indeed both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, assembled together in this city against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed,to do as much as your power and your plan had decided beforehand would happen.

But those tenants said to one another,‘ This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him and the inheritance will be ours!’So they seized him, killed him, and threw his body out of the vineyard.

When it was early in the morning, all the chief priests and the elders of the people plotted against Jesus to execute him.They tied him up, led him away, and handed him over to Pilate the governor.

But when the tenants saw him, they said to one another,‘ This is the heir; let’s kill him so the inheritance will be ours!’

Now when the commander of the temple guard and the chief priests heard this report, they were greatly puzzled concerning it, wondering what this could be.But someone came and reported to them,“ Look! The men you put in prison are standing in the temple courts and teaching the people!”Then the commander of the temple guard went with the officers and brought the apostles without the use of force( for they were afraid of being stoned by the people).When they had brought them, they stood them before the council, and the high priest questioned them,saying,“ We gave you strict orders not to teach in this name. Look, you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and you intend to bring this man’s blood on us!”

Then the chief priests and the elders of the people met together in the palace of the high priest, who was named Caiaphas.They planned to arrest Jesus by stealth and kill him.

The kings of the earth form a united front; the rulers collaborate against the LORD and his anointed king.They say,“ Let’s tear off the shackles they’ve put on us! Let’s free ourselves from their ropes!”The one enthroned in heaven laughs in disgust; the Lord taunts them.Then he angrily speaks to them and terrifies them in his rage, saying,“ I myself have installed my king on Zion, my holy hill.”The king says,“ I will announce the LORD’S decree. He said to me:‘ You are my son! This very day I have become your father!Ask me, and I will give you the nations as your inheritance, the ends of the earth as your personal property.

After they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said,“ Get up, take the child and his mother and flee to Egypt, and stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to look for the child to kill him.”Then he got up, took the child and his mother during the night, and went to Egypt.He stayed there until Herod died. In this way what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet was fulfilled:“ I called my Son out of Egypt.”When Herod saw that he had been tricked by the wise men, he became enraged. He sent men to kill all the children in Bethlehem and throughout the surrounding region from the age of two and under, according to the time he had learned from the wise men.

in these last days he has spoken to us in a son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he created the world.
