But when the tenants saw the son, they said to themselves,‘ This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and have his inheritance.’

農夫見其子、則相語曰、此其嗣子、且來殺之、據其業、

農夫見其子、則私語曰、此其嗣子、且來殺之、業可據矣、

園夫見其子、相語曰、此乃嗣子、盍來殺之、以據其業、

孰意園戶一見其子、乃共議曰：「斯乃厥嗣、我等盍共殺之、可佔其產：」

“ But when the tenants saw the son, they said to each other,‘ This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him and take his inheritance.’

“ But the renters saw the son coming. They said to one another,‘ This is the one who will receive all the owner’s property someday. Come, let’s kill him. Then everything will be ours.’

“ But when the tenant farmers saw his son coming, they said to one another,‘ Here comes the heir to this estate. Come on, let’s kill him and get the estate for ourselves!’

“ But when the tenant farmers saw the son, they said to each other,‘ This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him and take his inheritance.’

But when the vine growers saw the son, they said among themselves,‘ This is the heir; come, let’s kill him and take possession of his inheritance!’

But when the vinedressers saw the son, they said among themselves,‘ This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and seize his inheritance.’

But the husbandmen, when they saw the son, said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and take his inheritance.

“ But when the tenant farmers saw the son, they said among themselves,‘ This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him and take his inheritance!’

But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance.

But when the tenants saw the son, they said to themselves,‘ This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him and get his inheritance!’

But the farmers, when they saw the son, said among themselves,‘ This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him, and seize his inheritance.’

They saw him from afar, and before he came near to them they conspired against him to kill him.They said to one another,“ Here comes this dreamer.Come now, let us kill him and throw him into one of the pits. Then we will say that a fierce animal has devoured him, and we will see what will become of his dreams.”

So the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered the Council and said,“ What are we to do? For this man performs many signs.If we let him go on like this, everyone will believe in him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and our nation.”But one of them, Caiaphas, who was high priest that year, said to them,“ You know nothing at all.Nor do you understand that it is better for you that one man should die for the people, not that the whole nation should perish.”He did not say this of his own accord, but being high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation,and not for the nation only, but also to gather into one the children of God who are scattered abroad.So from that day on they made plans to put him to death.

for truly in this city there were gathered together against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, along with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel,to do whatever your hand and your plan had predestined to take place.

But those tenants said to one another,‘ This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’And they took him and killed him and threw him out of the vineyard.

When morning came, all the chief priests and the elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death.And they bound him and led him away and delivered him over to Pilate the governor.

But when the tenants saw him, they said to themselves,‘ This is the heir. Let us kill him, so that the inheritance may be ours.’

Now when the captain of the temple and the chief priests heard these words, they were greatly perplexed about them, wondering what this would come to.And someone came and told them,“ Look! The men whom you put in prison are standing in the temple and teaching the people.”Then the captain with the officers went and brought them, but not by force, for they were afraid of being stoned by the people.And when they had brought them, they set them before the council. And the high priest questioned them,saying,“ We strictly charged you not to teach in this name, yet here you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and you intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.”

Then the chief priests and the elders of the people gathered in the palace of the high priest, whose name was Caiaphas,and plotted together in order to arrest Jesus by stealth and kill him.

The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against his Anointed, saying,“ Let us burst their bonds apart and cast away their cords from us.”He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord holds them in derision.Then he will speak to them in his wrath, and terrify them in his fury, saying,“ As for me, I have set my King on Zion, my holy hill.”I will tell of the decree: The Lord said to me,“ You are my Son; today I have begotten you.Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession.

Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said,“ Rise, take the child and his mother, and flee to Egypt, and remain there until I tell you, for Herod is about to search for the child, to destroy him.”And he rose and took the child and his mother by night and departed to Egyptand remained there until the death of Herod. This was to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet,“ Out of Egypt I called my son.”Then Herod, when he saw that he had been tricked by the wise men, became furious, and he sent and killed all the male children in Bethlehem and in all that region who were two years old or under, according to the time that he had ascertained from the wise men.

but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world.
