耶穌設譬訓眾曰：『人有經營葡萄園者、藩之以籬、掘酒池、建高樓、乃租於園戶；而己則出遊國外。及期、遣僕收果、眾園戶執而撻之、無獲而返。乃遣他僕、亦被毆傷首。更遣一僕、且為所殺。如是更番遣使、或為所擊、或為所害。園主乃命其愛子親行、意「必敬畏吾子而屈服矣。」詎園戶議曰：「是為其嗣、曷共殺之、其產歸吾矣。」於是執而殺之、棄之園外。園主將何以處此？惟有嚴懲園戶、以園別租耳。經云、「梓人所棄、竟成隅石；主之所為、神妙莫測；」爾未讀乎？』若輩知此喻射己、欲起而捕之、惟心畏群眾、遂離去。

吾乃葡萄真樹、而吾父則圃主也。

『爾曹於意云何：人有二子、諭其長者曰：「兒今日可往葡萄園工作。」

爾其諦聽播種之喻：

『昔有貴人適遐方、將受國而歸、

猶人離鄉遠遊、授僕以權、分工治事、並戒司閽守望弗懈、

祈主一顧盼。加我以慈色。顛沛亦已甚。仰主賜救拔。吾族在昔日。備承主之德。猶如葡萄樹。移之出埃及。諸夷既被逐。植之於聖域。園地沃且廣。根深自條達。山嶽被其蔭。翠柯如靈柏。扶疎臨海角。蔓衍到幼法。今何毀其籬。行人競相折。既為野獸餌。又被林豕踏。勤懇求恩主。回首一眷顧。自天注爾目。視此葡萄樹。既為爾手植。應蒙爾愛護。夙為爾碩果。而今一何苦。

『經生與法利塞人、居於摩西之位、

昔有人焉、將遠行、召其諸僕、託以家貲、有授金五千者、有二千者、有一千者、亦各因其才耳。託付既畢、遂登程。
