爾曹遣人就約翰、彼為真理作證、我不求證於人、願爾得救而言耳、約翰乃燃明之燈、爾暫喜其光、○然我有證、大於約翰者、蓋父賜我所成之事、即我所行之事、證父遣我也、遣我之父亦為我證、爾未聞其聲、未見其形、其道不存爾心、以所遣者、爾不信也、爾探索諸經、思其中有永生、然經所證者我也、爾不欲就我以得生、

以色列族我民兮、弗聽從弗柔順兮、余任其桀驁、聽其縱欲兮。

我賜彼遏淫之機、彼猶不悛、

後竟背教、其不克悔改自新、猶復釘上帝子於十字架、而顯辱之、譬如土壤、時雨潤之、百物生之、農夫利之、上帝培之、若其叢生荊棘、則人棄之、終必被詛、而爇以火、

維時、施洗約翰至猶太野、言曰、天國邇矣、爾宜悔改、此人乃先知以賽亞所指者、曰、野有聲呼云、備主道、直其徑、夫約翰衣駝毛、束皮帶、食則蝗蟲野蜜、○斯時耶路撒冷、猶太、及約但四方咸出、各言已罪、在約但受洗於約翰、約翰見𠵽唎㘔［口撒］吐𡀲人、多就己受洗、謂之曰、蝮類乎、誰示爾避後日之刑乎、故當結果、以彰悔改、勿自以為亞伯拉罕吾祖也、吾語爾、上帝能使此石為亞伯拉罕子孫焉、今斧置樹根、凡樹不結善果者、即砍之委火、夫我以水施洗、俾爾悔改、但後我來者、更勝於我、其履我亦不堪提、彼將以聖神及火施洗爾、其手執箕、盡簸厥禾場、斂穀入倉、而燒糠以不滅之火、○

耶和華曰、當立道旁、訪其舊途、正直者履之、可得平康、人曰、余不欲正直是履。

故當結果、以彰悔改、勿自以為亞伯拉罕我祖也、吾語汝、上帝能起此石、為亞伯拉罕子孫焉、今斧置樹根、凡樹不結善果者、則斫之委火、眾問曰、我當何為、曰、有二衣、則分彼無衣者、有食亦然、稅吏至、欲受洗、問曰、先生、我當何為、曰定賦之外勿取、

逆理者、迪以柔和、庶上帝錫以悛心、俾識真理、

必有大道、稱為聖途、不潔者弗能由之焉、惟誠慤之人、蒙上帝訓導、遵循不誤、
