他母亲对用人说：“他告诉你们什么，你们就做吧。”照犹太人洁净礼的规矩，有六口石缸摆在那里，每口可以盛两三桶水。耶稣对用人说：“把缸倒满水。”他们就倒满了，直到缸口。耶稣又说：“现在舀出来，送给宴会总管。”他们就送了去。

耶稣就打发两个门徒，对他们说：“你们进城去，会有人拿着一罐水迎面而来，你们就跟着他。无论他进哪一家，你们就对那家的主人说：‘老师问：我的客房在哪里？我和我的门徒要在那里吃逾越节的宴席。’他会带你们看一间摆设齐全、准备妥当的楼上大厅，你们就在那里为我们预备。”门徒出去，进了城，所看到的正如耶稣所说的。他们就预备了逾越节的宴席。

说：“你们往对面村子里去，进去的时候会看见一匹驴驹拴在那里，是从来没有人骑过的，把它解开，牵来。若有人问为什么解开它，你们就这样说：‘主要用它。’”被打发的人去了，所遇见的正如耶稣对他们所说的。

耶稣说：“你们进城去，到某人那里，对他说：‘老师说：我的时候快到了，我要和我的门徒在你家里守逾越节。’”
